Super durable! Great for kids, picnics, preventing big spills
These cups arrived on time and without any damage or missing pieces and were packaged very well. The cups and lids are made of thick, durable, hard clear plastic. The cups themselves have 2 layers of plastic with an air space between the 2 layers to help prevent condensation, keep your drink colder longer and to keep your hand from getting cold while drinking. The space has an air tight seal and we have experienced no leaks. These cups are of very high quality and do not chip, crack or scuff easily. We've ran them through the dishwasher and have had no issues with warping, cracking or discoloration. The plastic is very sturdy and is not flexible/bendable at all.The lids are made of the same hard clear durable plastic that the cups are made of. They have a tight leak free seal around the rim of the lid as well as a translucent rubber ring to ensure a tight seal between the cup and the lid when the lids is screwed closed onto the cup. I have had no issues with the rubber ring coming loose or falling off and we use these cups daily and clean them in the dishwasher. The straws are a thick and firm but slightly more flexible plastic. The straws have a raised ring on the outside near one end to prevent the straw from falling out of the cup. This is a big plus for us as we have an 18 month old that is always trying to pull straws out of our drinks and this prevents him from doing so. There is not much of a gap between the straw and the hole in the top of the lid. If the cup is spilled on it's side, liquid will come out of the hole on the lid for the straw but will do so at a very slow pace.Pros:-All materials used are very durable and of high quality-Difficult to chip, crack or break-Very tight seal between cup and lid-Very small gap between straw and lid which helps prevent large leaks if cup is spilled on it's side-Raised ring on straw prevents straw from falling or being pulled out-Have used in dishwasher with no issues (no warping, discoloration, cracking)-Double layer of plastic with air in between layers means drinks stay colder longer, less condensation, hands don't get cold holding drink.Cons:- Very small one, a very small amount of liquid will drip slowly out of hole on lid with straw in if cup is spilled on it's sideOver all we were very impressed with the quality of these cups and the lids and straws that came with them and would buy them again.

Get these!
I usually buy one or two of the double walled plastic cups like these when I see them. Always $10+ each, and generally last a few weeks before they fall apart. Can always tell when they fail because the inner wall fills with water.Bought these, 4 for $18. Told my husband that it's kind of pricey, but he broke it down that it was less than $5/each. Yes... hadn't thought about it that way...These are great! Double walled but less space in between. Still makes my ice last! Have only washed in the dishwasher. I've been using them for over a month now, and they still look like new. I don't ever use the plastic straws they come with, so no review on those.Anyways, very sturdy, no leaking, keeps drinks cold and ice frozen! Quality. These are what you're looking for!

Great Cups!
Love the simple style of these cups, great price, and top rack dishwasher safe. It comes with re-usable straws, but I have a disposable straw in there just cause that’s easier for me. I tend to be hard on my stuff and forgetful so I like that these are kind of in between disposable and forever. If I lose one or break one or forget one and find it full of mold later, it’s a $3 cup, not a $30 cup. OMG, it looks like it’s full of mold right now, but that’s just the color of the Liquid IV energy drink packs I bought here on Amazon at the same time.

Almost perfect, but the straws are a problem.
My mother suffers from dementia and we needed some "to go" cups to take with use for her drinks on outings. We had a few requirements that we couldn't satisfy completely in any cups that we saw for sale locally.- They needed to fit into pretty much any cup holder (car or wheelchair, etc).- They needed to be good quality as I just can't stand buying junk, even at a "junk" price, which is why the dollar store cups were out of the question.- They needed to have "captured" straws that don't pull out and tight fitting screw on lids because she has a habit of taking the lid off and putting it back on as she fidgets with things, but when it's a sticky drink like juice or soda, etc, we don't want her doing that in the car because the liquid winds up getting little spatters all over the place.- They needed to be insulated. The insulation is more for preventing condensation than keeping things cold as she doesn't mind most drinks at room temperature anyway, but wet condensation on the outside of cups is just one of the things that triggers her to fidget with it and be CONSTANTLY worried about drying it off. The stage she is at, keeping things "easy" and removing little things to stress over is really the name of the game.- They also needed to be totally clear. Colored translucent plastic or anything with a design or writing on it is too distracting. Literally. If she is choking (not life threatening, but having a coughing fit because she swallowed wrong, for instance) and I try to get her to take a drink, if the cup has any design or writing on it, she will want to point at it and try to talk about it while she is coughing up a lung rather than just take a drink. So, needed clear cups, lids and straws. These cups were ALMOST perfect. The ONLY problem is that the little retainer "bump" on the straws is a plastic ring that is pressed on and when pulling on the straw, it will come off and then the straw comes out. That is bad to two reasons because it means the sticky liquid can drip out of the straw and, even worse, if then she manages to take off the lid and drink from the cup when I'm not looking, there's a little piece of hard to see plastic floating in the beverage that could cause her a serious problem. For any responsible adult or child, this would be okay. Still, I needed more from the straws, so I ordered some other straws through Amazon that are the same dimensions and are also clear, but have the retaining bump on them permanently molded into the straw so that there's nothing that can come free: Acrylic Straw Set of 6, Fits 16oz, 20oz TumblersThe combination is perfect. I just wish that the straws included with these cups were already made this way.
