Nice features, but some usability drawbacks
I was in the market for a better clamping mobile phone tripod mount (my current one is pretty good, but it's 6 years old, and designs have greatly advanced since it was the only mount to which I'd entrust an expensive iPhone).First, let me be clear about what I mean by a "clamping" mount: The mount's "jaws" are positioned by large screw pins, not by springs. I put my iPhone in harm's way, so no way I'm trusting springs!Where I mention an "ARCA-compatible base," that means that it should work with most ARCA-style quick-release tripod camera mounts (YMMV depending on the clamping width of your ARCA mount). All model names shown in quotes are exactly as they appear on the item description, including typos. If you search Amazon for that quoted text, you should find the item being described. Manufacturer's name is included for additional verification. All models were tested with an iPhone 13 Pro; while each looked to me to have plenty of additional jaw spread for larger phones (like the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the larger Samsung phones), I'm not guaranteeing that you'll like the way it fits when using it yourself. After surveying the most highly-rated clamping mounts on Amazon, here's my opinions about each (the model that this review is posted in is marked with three asterisks).(1) Move-Shoot-Move "Omni-Directional Phone Tripod Mount with Precision Screw-Driven Clamp":- Pros: Very solidly built; strong clamping; fairly flexible for positioning; has an ARCA-compatible base with both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw holes in the foot (compatible with larger tripods that have 3/8'-16 mount screws); includes a cheap, but functional Bluetooth shutter release that's alegedly compatible with both iOS and Android (I didn't test this)- Cons: Very large and bulky, so it will take up more room in your camera bag or pocket than any of the others; horizontal adjustment of the ball joint is limited; the lower jaw's screw adjustment head will get in the way when trying to angle down the phone for landscape shots; tightening up the back screw head (that locks the ball joint in place) is more difficult that other models, due to its relatively small diameter; no cold shoe mount(2) Arnarkok "Metal Phone Tripod Mount w Rotatable Cold Shoe,360 Rotation & Tilt Angle":- Pros: Has a 360 degree rotating cold shoe mount on the top clamping jaw (for external lights or microphones); has an ARCA-compatible base with both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw holes in the foot (compatible with larger tripods that have 3/8'-16 mount screws); has three 1/4"-20 screw holes on the vertical part of the base (for attaching additional photographic accessories)- Cons: Instead of screw-style clamping jaws, it uses a low-profile locking screw on the back (which is more difficult to grip and tighten than most models); clamping bar rotation is controlled by a small locking lever on the back (which works OK, but is difficult to get fully tight); has no ball joints, so only adjusts up-and-down by using the pivot joint in the base section (no side-to-side adjustment)(3) Shinewee "Metal Phone Tripod Mount, iPhone Tripod Adapter, Phone Holder Stand":- Pros: Clamps tight; not bulky; the ball joint between the clamping bar and the base rotates freely when not clamped, enabling very flexible phone positioning; the screw head on the back (that locks the ball joint) is easy to grasp and tighten; there is a base leg that rotates into position to make this mount a free-standing, table-top phone stand; has an ARCA-compatible base with a 1/4"-20 screw hole in the foot- Cons: Slightly larger than some other models (but that's a very small consideration for this mount); no cold shoe mount(4) Focpro "Metal phone Tripod Mount for iPhone":- Pros: Clamps tight; not bulky; the ball joint between the clamping bar and the base will adjust vertically and horizontally 180 degrees in either direction, enabling more-flexible phone positioning than some models; the screw heads on the top jaw and on the back (that locks the ball joint) are very easy to grasp and tighten due to rubber grip rings; has a fixed, low-profile cold shoe mount on the lower clamping jaw; there is a foot extension leg that stores magnetically in the vertical part of the base section, sliding into position on the foot of the base to make this mount a free-standing, table-top phone stand; has an ARCA-compatible base with a 1/4"-20 screw hole in the foot- Cons: The clamping mechanism for the lower jaw is not obvious, requiring that you tighten a large ring screw on the back of the clamping bar (this mount may not work with some small phones due to limited adjustability of the clamping jaws); while the storage magnets for the foot extension leg are strong, it's still a loose piece when used, so it's more likely to be lost (than the pivoting foot extension on #3)(5) Arnarkok "Metal Phone Tripod Mount w Cold Shoe" (very similar to #2, above, but with a different cold shoe design and no pivot joint in the base section):- Pros: Has a fixed, low-profile cold shoe mount on the top jaw (for external lights or microphones); has an ARCA-compatible base; has three 1/4"-20 screw holes on the vertical part of the base (for attaching additional photographic accessories); has both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw holes in the foot (compatible with larger tripods that have 3/8'-16 mount screws)- Cons: Instead of screw-style clamping jaws, it uses a low-profile locking screw on the back (which is more difficult to grip and tighten than most models); clamping bar rotation is controlled by a small locking lever on the back (which works OK, but is difficult to get fully tight); no up-and-down or side-to-side adjustmentMy conclusions: I found the Shinewee (#3) to be the most flexible mount, and is the one I've kept. If you must have a cold shoe, then your best bet is the Focpro (#4, if you can get used to the odd locking mechanisms). The Move-Shoot-Move (#1) is a very solid, well-build mount, but too bulky and too limited in adjustability compared to the Shinewee (#3), IMO. The designs of the locking mechanisms on the two Arnarkok mounts were just too fiddly to live with, IMO, especially considering their adjustability limitations.

Very nice mount and Secure
As long as you know what you're doing this thing is basically just a vise clampyou can over-tighten for sure so be carefulMy one complaint is that the edges don't come out enough to incorporate a thicker case.

Great little phone mount
This is a great phone mount. It's all metal and very sturdy. It has 1/4" and 3/8" mounting holes. It's very adjustable and can turn in any direction you need it to. It has soft pads to prevent damage to your phone and it can hold a big phone! I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with a thick otterbox case and it holds it with room to spare. Also has plenty of connectivity for accessories like a cold shoe mount and 1/4" threaded holes for connecting microphones and lights. It also has a small kickstand to keep it from tipping over if your using it on a desk or table and not a tripod. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

Its an amazing mount
The media could not be loaded. It holds the phone firmly, the top knob turns smooth the back two not really, it has that aluminum grind feel like those crappy aluminum led flashlights when you have to replace the batteries. Other than that its great build quality and its an amazing mount and feels great in the hand. Well worth the money if you can over look the grindy knobs.

Metal finish and solid build- steady as well.
Honestly, I couldn’t find anything to dislike about this product. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family.

Versatile and well made.
I love this mount. It's very sturdy and easy to position and adjust. It has a lot of options for mounting. It can be mounted via an arca type clamp in two different positions and mounted via 1/4 inch in several positions. I use it right side up with arca clamp when I want to use the ball head for fine angle adjustments but I mount it upside down also via arca clamp when I don't want to use the ball head and just want to rely on my tripod for leveling. I often use the 1/4 inch holes between the ball head for mounting a magic arm for lights or other accessories. This mount has made setup for filming and quick changes a whole lot quicker. Definitely worth it.

Doesnt fit with a case
I have iphone 13 pro 6.1" with OtterBox Symmetry Series+ Clear Antimicrobial Case with MagSafe case and it doesnt fit. I will be returning and buying ULANZI ST-14 Smartphone Tripod Mount Adapter Aluminum with Cold Shoe. I tried to save $10 and it ended up biting me in the rear.
