SZBJ IR Emitter Extender Cable Extension (9.8FT) E102,2 IR Emitter

Having previously tried to get a wireless version to work my Foxsat HDR with with frustratingly limited success, I decided to give this one a go. AS it is a hard wired device, consideration must be given to wiring the receiver and transmitter sensors. Supplied cable lengths did not quite reach where I wanted to place them but managed to use a stereo headphone extension cable to bridge the gap. The power adaptor has what looks like a 2 pin shaver plug on it. However, the unit can also be powered by a usb A to B cable. Once I resolved these issues and worked out placement of sensors, it worked great.

This works really well. I wanted to put the TV on the wall and hide the Sky box, BluRay player and what have you in another room. I extended the receiver with a 10 metre extension lead and put the main unit in a closed cabinet with all the AV gear. Really responsive, not noticed any delay between pressing the remote and seeing something happen on screen. Very pleased.

I have used IR repeater kits and extenders before but the main receiver units never work that well. I purchased this kit with the SZBJ Peephole IR receiver unit and it works really well. The remote control signals are picked up immediately and sent to equipment placed in an enclosed cupboard without any problems. I recommend this product based on my own experience but remember to invest in the SZBJ Peephole receiver unit as I feel that made a significant difference.One suggestion that I would have for the supplier is to do a version of the Peephole receiver in matte-black, that would certainly be nice. The Bronze/Copper colour is not bad at all but I would certainly prefer a matte-black version.

This IR repeater was really easy to set up, just plug in the receiver, transmitter and power and it works right away. I didn't bother sticking the transmitters directly on the receiving devices, I just put them vaguely in front of the devices and they all worked.The receiver cable is about 1.5m long.There are also LEDs on the main unit and the receiver that make it really easy to see what's going on. The LED even shows the signal strength, so I could tell that the receiver was getting a weak signal from my universal remote, but the original remote had a better signal.

This worked a treat with my Humax Freesat box, i wanted to be able to access it from a second room/ TV , and using a 3.5mm extension lead for the IR Receiver could do just that. I had tried previously with the Triax thing but that failed to work so was pleased this worked straight away :D Great value for money!
