My product wasn’t clear. It was a soft, off-white color, and definitely thicker than regular paint. We applied it to old brownstone shutters that we salvaged. They had very thick, cracked layers of paint on both sides. Decided to paint over them instead of scraping them down. Product worked very well, and there were thorough instructions on the back about containing the dust.

You have stir, stir, stir first. Goes on thick but use 2 coats regardless (make sure 1st coat is completely dry before adding 2nd coat). Worked like a charm. Also, I could hardly find any help with step by step for lead issues. So I kept researching and finally was told to use primer first. I had oil lead based paint and NOTHING wants to stick to it. So I used k*lz primer first (2 coats), and it worked beautiful!

Arrived with slight leaking . I thought it would go on clear but is white . I suppose it is functional though and that the important thing.

I bought a bunch of old windows to make a green house. Many of them appeared to have lead paint. I scraped them down, wire brushed them and sealed. them I thought the paint was very easy to apply no problems at all I did paint them all outside per the odor warnings. Easy to use !

I purchased a 5 gallon container of lead sale. The paint was extremely watery I tried mixing it several times with an attachment on my drill and it still would not thicken up. It Takes several coats to cover anything and when it dries it’s more of a clear coat then a white color. I expected higher expectations in this product. I’m not sure if I got a defective product or if this is what you’re supposed to get watery clear coat covering. Not impressed.

We used it for our son's bedroom window frame and door jam/frame and base boards that have chipping old paint with lead in it and caused him to have high elevated lead levels at 5 y.o.

I thought, from other reviews, that it might be clear, but mine was white (which was fine). It seems very unlikely to flake--the texture is a tiny bit rubbery when it dries. Mine arrived undamaged.

Lid is plastic. A metal clip securing the item had popped off. It arrived with a cup of paint having oozed out.
