They are great. However this is not for little faces. You can cut them down to fit.

I did butterflies with these ,worked well also cute them to fit childrens face.

Wonderful ,I love these sponges . They are very well packaged and help to keep me on my toes .Great for us professionals who are busy and use the stencils from Amazon vendors . You can not go wrong using these color coded sponges ; great concept .

The shape is good for butterflies and what not, but if you are trying to base out a child's face, they were a little rough. The texture was a little abrasive, and I was being very gentle. They left lines and marks in the paint which I buffed out with some powder and a brush. But the kids didn't find the sponges very comfortable.

Got these for my 13-year-old niece who has a face-painting business, and she loves them! She can dedicate one sponge to each color. You also get a few bonus sponge shapes in the border of the sheet of sponge material the colored ones come set into.

While these probably would have been good for snazaroo, using them for other water activated face paint did not turn out so well. I had a dark blue and the sponges left distinct dark splotches despite my best efforts to avoid pressing too hard. I'm not sure if the problem was entirely the Mehron paint or the sponges. The sponges are not too course, and don't feel bad when applying. I wish there was an instructional video for application technique.

I love these sponges I won't be using any other from now on at my face painting gigs.
