Don't buy their products. Its not compatible with India power standard. I lost my money. There's no international warranty also.

This is a clean, simple ceiling light fixture that blends in nicely. I installed this in our master bath, which has kind of a busy decor and doesn't need a ceiling light fixture that calls attention to itself. This fixture also gives out plenty of good quality light, surprisingly so at this price point. Extra bonus, it is dimmable, and I happened to have a compatible dimmer on hand, and the dimming works well. The dimming makes this a much more usable fixture in a bathroom, where you may not want super bright light all of the time. It also seals well, so it should work well in a bathroom where moisture can be an issue.Here's the design issue I ran into: my house was built, 20 years ago, with small electrical boxes in the ceiling. This shouldn't be a problem, because there are adapters available to allow modern fixtures to work with these boxes, and in fact the Cloudy Bay fixture thoughtfully includes an adapter. The included adapter doesn't match the one in the installation instructions, but of the three types of adapters I'm familiar with, I think this would still be a problem, and that problem is: the ground wire bolt is in line with the mounting holes, and interferes with the mounting bracket. There is no way to install the light fixture with the bracket/adapter that comes with the fixture. My solution was to completely disassemble the fixture, remove the ground bolt, and then mount the fixture. This problem would not exist if the bolt were offset slightly, or even 90 degrees, from the mounting screw holes.Hopefully you don't run into the problem I did, and your install goes well. This is a terrific value in a ceiling light fixture.

Update:It is now the end of May 2020 and one light in our hall has already gone out. 7 months is not very long. Regular LED light bulbs last much longer than this. Very disappointed. Disappointed because they look great. And now I have to order another one because we need it to match the other one up in our hall. No way to contact CLOUDY BAY through Amazon. Won't order any more from this company after this.Original Review - Oct 2019 - These are great! My husband took down our old ugly hall ceiling light fixtures, we had the popcorn removed and ceiling painted and then he put up these new flat fixtures. WOW what a difference. It looks like a brand new house now - not "this old house". So very pleased. We are going to put them on a dimmer because they are plenty bright and if someone is in bed sleeping it will be nice to pull the brightness down lower. Great find. You will not be disappointed. They really look just like cans up in the ceiling without the hassle/retrofitting. Thanks AmazonMay 2020 edit: Installed two of these in our hallway in Nov 2019 and now one has stopped working. 6 months? Used a regular switch too, not a dimmer. Short lifespan.June 2020 edit: The seller did refund our money for the one fixture that went bad and we have ordered a new one so fingers crossed it will last. They are nice and unobtrusive. Once they are up you really don't even notice them up on the ceiling in the hallway. Nice product - so, hopefully the second time will be the charm. So I upped it to 4 stars, knocking 1 off for having to replace one fixture so soon. Thanks!

I bought 6 of these at the same time on 1 order. I also bought the recommended dimmer/remote switch for these lights.The lights arrived timely. However, 2 of the packages were different than the other 4. I didn't think much of it at the time. I figured it was just a packaging thing. Boy was I wrong. The 2 that came in the fancy product boxes don't dim at the same rates as the other 4. So, if I want very soft lighting in my living room, the 2 different ones turn off whereas the other 4 dim perfectly.As for the remote controlled dimmer switch they recommend, DON'T BUY IT!!! THE REMOTE DOESN'T WORK!!!! The manual dimmer does work however. (Except for those 2 stupid lights)Why the 2 star rating?I fully expect to get the SAME product when ordering multiples. Now I have 2 lights that don't dim properly. (In fairness, at full power they all look the same.)When ordering the remote switch that THEY RECOMMEND, I expect for that product to work. Very disappointed with that.These were were professionally installed by a fully accredited and licensed electrical contractor. They were flabbergasted at both issues.It's too late for me to return these as I had a delay in my living room remodel project. And I certainly don't want to have to pay a contractor to install them again. So I will bite the bullet on the roughly $40 for those 2 lights.BUYER BEWARE.UPDATED: 1/31/2020The company finally shipped me 2 replacement lights that match the existing 4 installed lights. They've gone from a 2 star review to a 4 star review. Can't give them 5 stars because of the hassle factor of getting the correct lights. Good lights though. Work perfectly.

This small light is bright and attractive as advertised and for the most part very easy to install. One drawback if you are planning to install in a wet location, the silicon gasket provided to allow wet location installation is about one inch too big so getting it on the lamp in order to install is next to impossible without the gasket bunching up or coming off of the edge of the lamp. Thus, there is no seal in a wet location. That gasket does not need to be used, according to the directions, in a dry area and I have no idea why any one would opt to use it since it in itself is unattractive. I think it will be a good lamp for a dry location, but would not recommend for a wet location. Hopefully the light will last as advertised.
