Q: Cover: whatever do you recommend for these chairs?

Plan on an IKEA assembly issue. Extremely difficult to assemble, I almost returned it. But after assembly it is nice.

Q: Can you lay on your stomache on this chair?

No you cannot, I bought them thinking/ hoping same thing but you can't, what you see is exactly how they are, you can't change positions, also they are hard to get in and out of..... just awkward. I barely lay in them but my dog does. To bad cuz they are nice looking but just not practical.
