Poise Incontinence Overnight Pads, Ultimate Absorbency, Long, 45 Count

As someone who has heavy periods, these pads are being used for my cycle. I find that I require 2-3 to cover everything from front to back because they simply run short and not long enough to cover front to back. So if these were for incontinence they would not offer the protection needed unless you had mild controlled little leaks and nothing major. The price is hefty each month because I buy two packages and regular pads as well. I mix the extra wide with these size 6 pads and try to cover everything that way. I wish they had wings or better protection like a diaper does. There is room for redesign. Also the adhesive is very weak and does not stick securely. It simply stays put initially but rolls onto itself or edges get scrunched or compromised when you move, sit or each time you go to pull does your panties. People who design these need to wear them. But for anyone on blood thinners, who experiences heavy flows, this is better than any regular pads on the market. They are the largest I found but still fall short from front to back.

I order these pads for my elderly mother, and her sitters love them. She wears the pull-up or briefs and these pads. I know some folks make thinks that is overkill to wear the pads and use the pullups or briefs, but believe me it is worth it. When you want to keep from having accidents on your car seats where the smell seems to stay forever no mater how many times you pay to have it steam cleaned or for other places like on the cloth chairs in a doctor's office, it pays to use both the pads and briefs. I don't recommend just using any pad though because we've tried most of the ones on the market, I recommend using these Ultimate Absorbency Overnight pads by Poise because they are the absolute best. These pads are way more absorbent than the brief or pull-ups and more absorbent than the other pads we've tried. Even though the name is Poise Ultimate Absorbency Overnight Pad, which leads you to think they are just best for overnight use, they are the best we've tried for the times you need to make sure there is NO leakage. For example, my 84 year old mother uses them when we have to take her to a doctor that is a 3-1/2 hr drive. The sitters we have with her love these pads because it is much easier to change the pads than to change her briefs on these trips. We use them anytime we take her places because they protect her from having accidents on my cloth car seats. The pads are so absorbent that most of the time the sitters can just change the pads and not have to change her pull-ups, which is easier on them and on her. They are so easy to use that most of time my mother can change the pad herself, which makes her feel better about her abilities to take care of herself, even though we have hired caregivers.

I now have pressure sores on by bottom because of gathers next to the center part. I have used Poise 5 and 7 without problems. Ordered 6 thinking it was narrower than 7 but it isn't. Maybe you won't have a problem. But now it hurts to sit and I'm a diabetic, disabled senior that's my life. Dissatisfied and can't afford to order replacement. Doubt they'd want an open package returned.
