I had always heard that a ignition key fob was very expensive but that is only when you don't have the chip. My fob was only the case cracked from dropping repeatedly. changing the circuit board was as easy as changing the battery and it worked perfectly. I was able to use my old key, no need to get the one with the fob cut.

Easy to change out! You can have your new key cut and stored safe somewhere, and just put your original trunk key right into the new FOB. For our CTS Coupe this was an exact 💯 replacement. Who cares about the Cadillac emblem. People don't look at my FOB they look at my car🤣🤣! Great price too... Buy one!

The key fob does not have the indent on the back for the Cadillac sticker to go. That was the whole reason to order.

This product is great** for the price***. I ordered in July 2022. A few months ago I lost a piece that covers the bottom two buttons. Today, April 2023, the keys were in my pocket and when I took them out… now I have lost the unlock/lock hard plastic covering. For the great price, it is what it is. If I buy another and lasts less than a year it is still cheaper than an expensive fob case so glass half full on this one. Another reason I love Prime bc I need a new one stat :p Now if I buy this again I will def buy a rubber case cover or I might just get a diff brand.

Listing is for STS CTS 08-13, bought it for an 11 CTS coupe. Would highly recommend this if you are looking to get that new remote feel for a fraction of the dealer price. I'm buying a second one for my other FOB.When I refer to the loop I'm talking about the metal piece that has the key ring hole in it that the physical key is inProsThe buttons are very positive with a nice audible click in and out. The circuit board went right in. The battery spring was so tight it was borderline a pain to get the battery in. The design of the key retention is much better than factory, it's one solid piece of plastic rather than a flimsy tin piece that falls out when the key snags the inside of my pocket on its way out, see photos. The factory key loop fits properly into the new housing and was tighter than it was in the old housing. Further on this the keys unscrewed from the loop and swapped just fine so everything is new except the physical key.ConThe ONLY real complaint is the photos on the product page show the circle for the Cadillac emblem. I did choose this one for that with the intent of carefully swapping it, it doesn't have that. I took a star for that reason, see photos. The physical size of the new one is slightly larger, can't mix them together to keep the emblem see photos.Things noted that could lean negative but at 13 bucks I'm NOT complaining, just noting.The housing is a tad bit wider than the loop, see photos. The new key is a tad loose in both of the loops, old key sits snug in both. Could probably fix that easily. I'll mention it again, The battery spring was so tight it was borderline a pain to get the battery in.
