Google Pixel 5 128GB - Just Black - GA01955-US (Renewed)

Edit: One year later and device still works optimally. Updates have came regularly. I still use glass screen protectors and my main screen is unscathed. No issues with this device, very happy with my purchase. Coming from a Google Pixel 3XL, I had high expectations. I personally wrote Google to let them know this phone was the Swiss Army knives of phones, and one day my power button stopped working. It was then, after contacting Google's amazing support team, I knew my days with that phone were numbered. Ordering a Google Pixel 5 over the 6 was a hard decision but the fingerprint scanner, the same location as my Pixel 3XL, ultimately sold me. I have had this phone for about a month or so, before deciding to write the review, because I can be quickly sold out of the box but I knew the day-to-day usage would be what mattered most. The phone is smaller than I expected coming from a phablet. I quickly grew to love this. It fits in my pockets. My case has an adorable wrist dangly so I can just hold it comfortably, even when not in use. The phone is very light, if you didn't know better, you may think it was a toy you just found in my purse. Speaking of sometimes I lose it in my purse. That's how light and small it is! I worry it may be fragile. I have a glass screen protector which cracks quickly but my phone is unscathed. I feel confident it will last just as well as my last phone, as long as I'm careful. I dropped my last one in the toilet 3 times, along with so much concrete straight to the front screen. I'm a pretty active individual who rides a bike around town. This phone has survived some crazy throws into concrete, as well. I have a case but it isn't an otterbox or anything super crazy, but the phone seems fine nonetheless. Performance has never been affected by my falls. Camera is amazing. I would say it's the same as my Pixel 3XL, and I think megapixels wise that may be true. Lags between shots, but so did my last one. I think my phone needs to be restarted a lot. The pull down from the top doesn't always fully expand, my phone calls sometimes don't ring or I can't answer them properly. I'm not sure if this is a refurbished issue or if it's a Google software issue but I think people deserve to know it's an issue I have, with my phone, daily. I have never used facial recognition and the battery life depends on how I use it. I have made it two days without charging, using it on and off throughout the day, but days with heavy usage such as music and GPS it has to be charged, sometimes even a few hours before I go to bed. A weird problem I have is if the battery life goes into the second day, but I use it a lot that day, I have to charge it in the middle of the day. All of that being said, I think this battery life is as described of a new Pixel 5. Overall I am in love with Pixel technology and don't find many inherent flaws with this being a refurbished cell phone.

The battery life drains very rapidly. Doesn't hold any power.

The phone works and functions perfectly, there are a few very small scratches here or there but it doesn't really matter since it will be covered by a case of some sort. One draw back is the screen has images burned into it. Its likely this was a Verizon store display model because the images relate to what you'd see on a phone in a store. We have installed a "burn in remover" app, which I think just basically removes the burn in images by burning the rest of the screen evenly. Its likely to take some time tho. Other than that, the phone works fine. I saved about $30 overall getting a "renewed" phone, so I guess it was worth is since it functions perfectly.

I needed to replace Pixel 3 that no longer was getting updates. This refurbished Pixel 5 was a great deal. It works like brand new and will get OS and security updates through October 2024. The phone battery life is amazing! The phone always has enough battery for a day. The fingerprint reader works flawlessly. I've had the refurbished phone for over 2 months without having any issues. Note: It shipped with a charger. I do not use the charger as the charger (not the phone) runs very hot. It appears the charger is a cheap knock off that came with the phone . I use my original Pixel 3 charger which runs cool.

I had a pixel 2 that died a couple years ago, I was forced to upgrade prior to the 5 becoming available, so i ended up getting a Samsung.. I absolutely hated that phone.. I kept it until I paid it off, then I ordered this pixel 5.. I didn't want the new 6 bc the fingerprint reader being in the screen. The Samsung had that and it never worked half the time.. I had to go to the Verizon store to get a Sim card, but they got it activated for me and so far works great!

Llevo utilizando el Google Pixel 5 durante aproximadamente seis o siete meses, y hasta ahora ha sido el mejor teléfono que he tenido el placer de utilizar. Dada mi experiencia abrumadoramente positiva, no tengo dudas de que seguiré siendo leal a esta marca en el futuro.

The phone arrived when promised, and it is absolutely pristine - literally like new! Not a single tiny scratch anywhere on it. Looks and functions like a brand new phone. Very satisfied customer!

Es buen equipo, super cómodo y fácil de usar. En la descripción del celular dice que la batería tiene al menos un 80% de vida útil de la batería y el teléfono que me mandaron claramente tenía menos. La batería daba una duración de unas 3 horas de pantalla encendida y uso regular. Claramente no está testeado correctamente. Aunque el teléfono era muy bonito y cómodo.

Efectivamente. El celular viene bloqueado.
