Every bit as good as Youtube rumors suggest!
The media could not be loaded. I included a video snip with this review to show what this gun can do. In the video, you can see a dust spec that had landed in the clear, which I included to give some context to the rest of the surface. Where the dust spec is, the light bends around the disrupted surface, but all around it is a glass smooth surface finish. This was after the second coat of a 4:1 clearcoat and there is really no orange peel whatsoever. This is the 1.3 sized tip, though I also bought a 1.9 to try out with primers. I'll review that once I've had some time with it.I'd seen this spray gun on both the "Triggerman" and "Paint Society", with both seeming to be impressed. My observations are that this truly is a budget gun capable of high quality work! I'm sure that $700 spray guns like the Devilbiss and Sagola may be better in build quality and feel, but I don't think there is really any doubt that the Astro can get very similar results. There are some things that aren't that great, which I think are fine trade-offs for the level of finish quality you can get from it at this price. The gun is a bit on the small side, in my opinion, like it's 90% as big as it should be. The trigger has a very long throw since it has the needle located kind of high on the trigger. The needle position control dial is not very smooth, which you notice only when cleaning the gun and reassembling it.On the plus side, there really isn't much to go wrong. The needle and tip are well made. There aren't any gaskets to swell or wear out.In use, the main thing you notice when spraying is that the air system atomizes the paint very, very well. It comes out like a mist, while a lot of other budget guns come out as more of a spray, even if the fan shape is similar. Basically, the droplet size is just a lot smaller than other budget guns can produce. It also does this at a surprisingly low pressure; I was generally spraying clear at around 22-25psi (read while trigger is pulled). Most budget guns seem to need closer to 30psi; this is a very efficient gun. I did not like the way it sprayed metallic, which seemed to come out a little blotchy as compared to other guns I have. When spraying 4:1 clearcoat, it lays down a lot of paint quickly. I found myself spraying a tad heavier than usual with the same movement speed and overlap. Also tried this with a sealer and felt that it was not as smooth as other guns. In my opinion, this gun is most ideal for clearcoats. It's possible that you could dial in better results with sealer and basecoats with some time, but since I have those dialed in with other guns already, I haven't taken the time to experiment that much.In the end, this is a gun that is really impressive with clear, maybe not so much with other types of finishes. As a dedicated clear gun, it is a great value!

Impressive gun!!
I use my Astro 109 with my business refinishing bathtubs. I dialed it in the night before with cheap craft water base paint. I figured, I'd have to make a few adjustments when spraying the epoxy tub glaze. Anyway the guns setting was still spot on. The bathtub came out absolutely like glass smoothness. I'm very impressed with how well made the dial settings and quality was. All the parts are very well made. For the price I'm blown away by how well this gun lays finishes down. I also have a Titian Vapor. It's an ok gun, but the Astro blows it away. Also the seller was great too, fast shipping.

Great spray gun at a great price!
Really happy with this purchase. I the Graco FX3000 initially and then found this gun. After looking both over when they arrived, I decided to give this one a try. It sprays great and was the easiest gun I have ever cleaned. Complete breakdown and cleaning was done in 10 minutes and looks perfect. No hidden crevices that are hard to clean. Would definitely recommend this gun. I am returning the FX3000 unused.

Works decent
For my purpose and set up, the gun didn’t perform how I wanted it to, however, I can see it being put to use in a different booth. Unfortunately I would prefer getting a 3M PPS adapter, as the cup it comes with isn’t enough to suffice

Fantastic gun for the money.
I have 2 of these guns and love them! Very easy to disassemble and clean and they spray great! I have the 1.3mm for basecoat and clear and it does a great job of atomizing the paint, and I can spray unthinned high build urethane primer out of the 1.9mm no problem. If you're looking for a good paint gun on a budget I highly recommend this gun. Just make sure you get the fluid tip size your paint recommends on it's TDS. I've had the 1.3 gun for a year and have done many paint jobs with it and have seen no deterioration in the how it sprays.

Made me look like I knew what I was doing!
I'm a pretty new painter but have painted a panel or two off a vehicle prior to painting my truck. . This gun sprayed amazing. I shot Tamco Basecoat and Tamco 4100 Clear coat out of it and it worked great. Required little pressure at the gun and ran perfectly off of my Craftsman 60 Gallon air compressor. I was the limiting factor for the gun I think and will get it even smoother next go around. I'm painting in a garage so i am doing a couple panels at a time. So far i have done the hood and front fenders in one shot, the tailgate and the roof. All have sprayed great out of this gun. Easy to adjust and the fan is pretty wide. I didn't get any orange peel or any dry spots in the clear. Worked great!I did upgrade the gun to use the Harbor Freight Disposable cups with their adapter. highly recommend that as it made clean up super easy.I like this gun with the 1.3 tip so much that I'm going to order another with the larger tip for primer.

Great gun
I bought this gun because the painter I trained under has the EUROHV103. I liked the way his gun layed down paint and was relatively cost effective and overall felt good in my hand. The EUROHE103 is slightly better than the one my teacher has. It seems to atomize better, creating better coverage. The euro I bought has the 1.3 mm tip and is great for spraying clear coat along with your sealer and basecoats. I've sprayed clear coat with this gun a few times after I got used to it, and it will lay down the clear as smooth as glass. It really does a great job overall and is a great price for how well it does. Overall, I would recommend this gun to anyone starting out or any pro. The only problem I have with the gun is that the trigger will start to stick after a few years use, my teachers does at least. But a rebuild kit will fix that. Overall, great product, well built, and a great deal for a sata like finish.
