Really good aerosol based lacquer
The Polar Flawless Lacquer Matt Spray has proven to be an excellent choice for my custom plastic paint job on a spa outlet, ensuring durability and longevity without chipping or washing off despite being in daily use. Applying the spray at room temperature provided excellent coverage, and it dried evenly, leaving a desirable matte finish that matches my matt black bathroom components (I combined with Hycote Matt black paint). The spray nozzle's easy control facilitated a smooth application process, contributing to a professional-looking result. It's crucial to highlight the importance of safety precautions. As indicated in the MSDS sheet, using the correct respirator mask and working in a well-ventilated area is advised due to the strong fumes emitted during application, it took some time for the smell to leave my workshop so I wouldn’t advise using this at home indoors unless you could adequately ventilate. Having installed the lacquered parts a month ago, I'm pleased to report that there are no signs of the lacquer failing. The durability and resilience it has demonstrated thus far give me confidence in the long-lasting quality of the paint job. In summary, the Polar Flawless Lacquer Matt Spray is a reliable choice for those looking to protect and enhance the appearance of painted surfaces. Its easy application, even drying, and long-lasting results make it a standout product for custom paint projects. Just be sure to prioritise safety measures during application.

Does what it says on the tin
Arrived quickly as advised. Product itself is great. I used it on my bannister which I had stained to seal it and worked well, easy to apply and so far is durable. I would purchase again

Easy to use
Easy to use but one can doesn’t go very far. I use on upcycled painted furniture and it gives a nice slight sheen. Drying time good if you don’t use too much.

Excellent product, great coverage and dries well....given time.
We have used the gloss version of this varnish on many objects, ranging from sealing diamond art, spraying a wooden box that had been stained, spraying miniatures, stones and pebbles that have been decorated and painted. So many other objects have also been sprayed with this varnish. First thing to note, ventilation is very much needed. We typically do our spraying outside on a well prepared table covered with paper etc. Sometimes, if using over a paint we are unsure of, we apply a little of that paint on something disposable and test on that first. We can then gauge any reactions or shade variation etc due to the varnish. Typically we apply even coats, only applied thinly, and keep the can moving at a steady pace. The coverage is good and it is quick to dry. We often find the object is dry to touch if left overnight and completely solid, if many coats have been applied, over the next couple of days. We have had zero issues in using this spray, the gloss effect seems to be cumulative....a single coat not being too glossy but after several that is increased. Do not apply too thickly, it will have a chance of running or produce "bubbles" within the thick coats. Also it can dry a milky white is too thick. Overall very much recommended if applied with care and, if needed, test coats etc used. I hope this has been helpful.

Good price
Arrived in perfect condition not used yet so hoping it helps with our black mould, only problem was Amazon delivery service which has been a problem for awhile.

Hycote is better
Only bought because it was the only one that would arrive next day at the time. Went on ok and is very clear. However I found it hasn’t dried / hardened very well and is more of a rubbery coating. There are better brands for the price and will be going back to Hycote brand in the future.

Good for guitar repairs
Buying this product was a bit of a punt but I think it may just have been exactly the right move. I needed to restore the finish on the front of an acoustic guitar, just a small patch where I had repaired a dent and over sanded leaving a ring which could be seen from an angle. It was going over a polyurethane finish (Takamine guitar, for anyone interested or confronted with similar issues). Three quick coats spaced 15mins or so apart and almost immediately I could see that this was going to work. All that’s required is a light, wet sand with very fine paper and buffing with rubbing compound. So, highly recommended. The finish is absolutely clear. Worth warming the can up in a bowl of hot water (as well as shaking as directed) just to guard against any splatter.

Good, but not perfect.
This laquer is very easy to use. I bought 2 cans and used it to laquer an oak bannister rail. I sprayed it onto the bare wood and it covered really well. I gave it 4 coats, but one of the cans was faulty and I couldn't get it to stop spraying so wasted nearly half a can. The bannister looked great when I'd finished, although the satin finish was more of a gloss. Although it dried quickly (touch dry in about 30 mins) it seems to take a long time for the laquer to harden. I had to leave the rail for 2 days before I could handle it without leaving finger marks in the laquer. In future I'll leave it longer between coats and see if that helps.
