This is one of those products where you really get what you pay for. The price is right and it went together easily. The screen is nice and bright. Touch works best with the stylus (included) but fingers work also. The heat sinks are installed in seconds.The software includes the Apache web server among the other features you would expect from Raspian. And no hunting around for drivers to make the display work; they are included on the memory card. It comes with a CD but it isn't required to get up and running quickly. Highly recommended to make a copy of the micro SD card just in case.The best part, which is not mentioned in the ad, is that the HDMI output remains active. Ctrl-Alt-F2 and F4 give two character-based terminal windows which can be used for the normal text-based programs like htop and rasp-config utilities and vi for editing of configuration files or html files. Then Ctrl-Alt-F7 reactivates the LCD (which is frozen while working in the terminal screen).Now the downside: The GPIO pins are completely covered by the display. But for this user that is no problem because of the availability of USB-to-Serial-to-8266 boards that allow Arduino sensors to communicate and the data incorporated into web displays.All in all, this unit is a pleasure to work with.

This review comes almost a year after I purchased this product. I hope this hindsight may be useful.The Screen:Drivers for Raspian are easy to configure, but I had trouble getting it configured on other distros, such as Kali. Once you buy it, you get an email with helpful links to the most up-to-date drivers, as well as instructions for proper assembly. Keep in mind that this is an extremely tiny diplay, in my opinion not well suited for actually developing code and software but great for monitoring output on existing software. Sometimes the window panes of your GUI extend beyond the screen, making configuration tough. I had particular trouble with the GUI-based network config window. The touchscreen works fine but I never really use it because the screen is so tiny. The stylus it comes with is literally a Nintendo DS stylus, but it still works. The screen still works great after a year so there is no need to worry about longevity.The CaseDon't expect much from the case, it fits well but the connectors keeping it together break pretty easily if you are not careful over time. Mine is now completely unuseable because it no longer stays together, but I could always glue it or something if I really had to. You could also consider 3D-printing your own case, possibly thicker and sturdier.Overall a good purchase for the price. I still use it a year later (albeit without the case) and it works fine.

The case is complete and utter garbage and broke immediately. The screen, however, is perfectly serviceable and exactly what I expected. It was easy to get working using the image files included on the CD. I intend to get it working with a different setup (Kali), but that will require additional effort. I thought about going 4 stars one this, since the screen in the main thing you are buying, but had to drop it down to three since the same screen hardware is available for cheaper and now I need to buy another case.

Works well if you happen to find the right libraries and install guide, got it running on Noobs without a problem. The board slots into PI pins and covers SDA and SLC pins (not used though) so if you want to use any sensors or motors using those pins it won't work unless you extend the pins, but then the screen no longer fits in the case. Good if you only want a case and screen.
