Somewhere, I read that you should not use RO water in these machines, so without RO water, you would use one of these filters

Not sure. I love my new Philips 3200, but they sure don't make easy finding which filter to use.

Q: How long does this last? I've a gaggia machine and am wondering if the cost is worth it vs. descaling?

we use our machine for 1-2 cups a day and haven’t needed to change the filter for almost a year!

It doesn’t fit perfectly but it does fit and works fine.

Misleading information

Filter only lasted 4 months - maybe around 250 cups.Says on the box 5,000 cups - very misleading - and becomes a very expensive exercise if every 4 months I have to change an expensive filter
