Let me just say that at first, I was truly skeptical about this product. For over a year, we struggled with getting our toddler to sleep later in the morning, from the time he was one, he would insist on getting up before 5 am, no matter what time we put him to sleep. He was so tired in the morning, it was awful.We tried a lot of different approaches, nothing was working. Now, just be aware, this clock is not an over-night miracle, but takes maybe a week for them to get used to. But kids are incredibly smart, and after a couple of night explaining to my son, "Okay, when the clock is green in the morning, then it's okay to get up," he understood completely. Now, even if he wakes up before the green light (which isn't that often), he waits until the light is green, and then announces that the light is on and gets out of bed. Seriously, I'm so impressed with how much this clock has helped! Highly recommend.

OK to Wake! Children's Alarm Clock and Nightlight  This really works well--better than I had thought. We use the ok to wake feature, and the nap timer. Both seem to really work with the kids. We have twin 4.5 year old boys that sleep in different rooms. Prior to this product, it was rare that both would sleep in or sleep very long in naps. One or the other would get up or stay up. Both boys took to this right away. They actually stay in their rooms for the green light, sometimes reading a book or quietly playing until it turns green, allowing us to still sleep. The key was enforcing it the first night (so they know they have to stay in their rooms until it turns green). After that, we have had no problems after a week of nightly and every day nap use. Both of our boys sleep with them in their beds, they love the night light feature. They also seem to have an interest in learning to read the time more. one of our boys decorated his with stickers. This is very well designed, the controls are easy for parents to set, but well concealed and not easily changed by prying 4 year old hands, so you can have confidence they can't turn off the wake feature or change its time. I went in very skeptical this would work with twins, but was very surprised it did. Very much worth the investment.

Overall, I really like this. My three year old has been waking earlier and earlier, and we needed a solution to help him sleep a little later. I read a lot of reviews on the different children's alarm clocks, and decided this one best fit our needs. Especially because this also has a nap timer. I'm not a huge fan that it uses batteries. I would much prefer a plug in. But I conceded on that because of the nap timer, and because the reviews all said this clock isn't super bright. Well, ours is super bright. The first morning when the green light came on, it totally woke my son up. We not drape a small cloth over the clock to keep it from waking him up in the morning and at naps. Works well enough that way, and he can still clearly see if it is green or not, but not what I was planning on doing. Also, I accidentally set the alarm for his nap and it was not intuitive at all to turn the alarm off for the naps. In fact, I don't remember how I did it, or how I finally turned it off. I even took the batteries out thinking it would reset and it didn't. But, the clock is fun, but son likes to see it in the mornings after he wakes up and turn the lights on and off. The face is cute too, but at night, you cannot make out the clock at all. It would be nice if the clock face had a small glow to see the time. But, the clock is doing its job and we are slowly inching our way to get my son to sleep to 7:00, which is a definite good thing, which is why I rated this a four star.

Very happy with this product.We had an issue where our three year old daughter kept waking us up at 5:00am. It only took a couple nights for her to understand the concept that she was to stay in bed until the clock lights up.The product is cute enough that it fits in great with the kids room. The controls are a little confusing at first, but once you play around with them a little bit they're not too hard. There are a good amount of options you can set.This product is battery operated only. The company offers other products that you can plug in, but I really wish this one could. The other products aren't as "cutesy" and some have analog clocks, which just aren't relevant anymore. They need to make this product with a plug-in option. Although batteries haven't been a concern for us yet. I mean, it eats batteries a little fast, but it's worth it. It's cute. My son loves it in his room. We turn on the night light every night, plus the OK to wake is turned on, and we have to change the batteries maybe once every 2 months. When you change the batteries, it resets, so you have to reprogram with your preferences. But it's super easy to do. And it works. It does what it's supposed to do. And it looks cute while doing it. So I have no complaints, I'm happy with it.

The batteries are only for backup. It needs to be plugged into a standard USB charger for long-term use.Cute design and simple enough to setup. It keeps my kid from invading my bed.
