Q: Will this work with an otterbox defender case? My phone is a google pixel 3a, but just in general are cases too bulky for a good fit front and rear?

Yes cases are too bulky when using the clip that comes with it. It does fit on a moment case but you get some vignettes

Q: What is the thread size to attach to the clip? i have a universal holder that doesnt touch my screen. takes 14mm thread size. most are 17. are these?
