G4 2W LED Light Bulb

replaced 7 x 20w filament g4 lamps on a hall light fitting. they are daylight 4000k so cooler than the older warm white filaments. they are brighter than the filaments and keep cool too. they arrived very quickly and would potentially save me 126w of electricity. so all in all a good product, recommendedIF YOU ARE REPLACING HALOGEN BULBS YOU MAY WELL NEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSFORMER TOO as the leds draw far less current. The halogen transformers have a minimum design requirement so after a while the lights simply shut off. This was my experience so i will need to get an electrician to change the transformer too. The new bulbs are fine, but i am still using the remaining old filament bulbs for now. i just didnt foresee this eventuality of replacing the transformer

Replaced 20W bulbs in various kitchen lamps. Simple, good value and look good quality.

Used in combination with a dimmable driver. Sometimes flickered at maximum brightness. That might have been caused by the driver - can't tell. Dimming worked fine, even though bulbs not supposed to be dimmable.

Used these throughout my caravan to replace 20w bulbs. They are compact and as equally bright as the ones being replaced. They will enable extended off-grid caravanning when running on solar only. Much better and brighter than other types of Led bulbs I have bought in the past. Highly recommended.

Ideal replacement for cooker hood lights

You get a good lot of these for the money and they fit in the G4 lamp holder well enough and even cope with being used as a halogen replacement without making any changes to the 12v supplier (a cooker hood in my case) . The problem is that they are not very bright. It seems that they are roughly half the light output of the halogen equivalent: 150-200 lumens instead of 350 - 400 for the halogen and this for the same nominal power consumption of 20w. I need to see what I'm dong so have given up with these and ordered some halogen ones instead. Can't comment on their longevity as they have only been fitted for a few days.

As with all led bulbs take the 000s of hours life with pinch of salt but light output great heat output minimal just ever so slightly bigger for those under cupboards light fittings . Much better than halogen

These are great bulbs with a soft rubbery yellow bottom to hold, also the cool white is a really good colour, unfortunately they do not work for me and keep switching off. Sometimes when I turn my switch on they turn off instantly. I have now had to put my previous ones back in that work perfectly. I am not sure why this happens but maybe the lumen is higher and too powerful.
