NeilMed Sinus Rinse Premixed Refill Packets with Xylitol, 60ct.

My ENT recommended the NeilMed Sinus Rinse Premixed Refill Packets with Xylitol following sinus surgery. The product was delivered on the indicated day and arrived in a secure package. The box contained 60 packets with instructions on the box. The nasal rinse has been a life saver, providing me with immediate benefit in my healing process. I know that others have complained about the packets not being proliferated for ease of opening, but I did not have any difficulty opening the packet or cutting them at the top with scissors. There are some off brands of the product available, but I find the Neilmed brand to be of high quality and the cost difference between the off brand and Neilmed is only pennies per day. Also, Amazon offers a subscription service for additional savings. I also have the Navage Nasal Care product, but I find using the Neilmed nasal rinse bottle to be much more convenient, easier to use, and much more effective. This is an excellent product for anyone with sinus issues or allergies. This is a definitely a five star product.

Gentle and effective packets. Always dissolve. Gives a comfortable rinse as long as you have your water ratio correct per the instructions. Really good deal to buy online and in bulk. After using other brands, can appreciate that it is easy to open the packets and dump into nettipot without causing spillage.

Xylitol has been in use in the dental industry for years for the additional prevention of bacteria and cavities. Studies have not given many negatives (asides from stomach upset but that's ingestion of larger quantities). I had a really bad and stubborn sinus infection where steroid and a combo antibiotic was taking a while helping me clear it out. This time it was so bad I have never experienced any other sinus infection like it. I was so worried I even went to the dentist for upper xrays to make sure it wasn't a tooth infection that spread to the sinus. It wasn't. So I looked up the studies for xylitol and sinus infections, while not as much was found on the benefits for sinus applications, the fact that both dental and sinus studies indicated that it helps prevent bacteria adhesion convinced me to give it a try. I needed something to get me over the hump. When I say I was blowing out tissues and tissues of nasty mucous like slapping a palmful of slime on tissue - I mean it. So day 3 into rinsing 2 times a day (this is also days after finishing the steroid and antibiotics but was still blowing out gobs), I finally saw a big reduction in slime production and amount. I felt clearer. I am now making this a part of my periodic nasal maintenance during allergy and cold season.

My family has routinely used the NeilMed saline packets for years, myself to help (along with prior sinus surgery) mitigate recurring sinus infections and poor nose breathing. I was skeptical about switching, but I'm glad I did. I was used to using 2-3 packets in my rinses but use one of these and oh, my! Almost instantly after flushing (again, only 1 packet) and after blowing out residual fluid, my sinuses feel... amazing, almost a soothing feeling. I'm buying these from now on! I have zero regrets and love how it feels afterwards.

I’m very happy with this discovery, it has made a real difference for me. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find in pharmacies in my area. The xylitol version is much gentler than the original one, which tends to burn over time and really irritates my sinuses. With this version, my sinuses stay hydrated for much longer. This is a true favorite for me, and I honestly wish I had discovered it sooner. The original version had become problematic. I’ve had sinus surgery, and this product has been part of my routine for the past 10 years to help prevent sinus infections.

Worth the extra money. Works for me better than the standard Neilmed packets.

Work as intended! It would’ve be nice for them to contain more clear instructions as they come with a massive booklet of advertising for NeilMed. Would be nice for the packets to be more easily opened as well. I have to use scissors to open the packets!
