The glove does seem to fit fine however the thumb is a little bit longer then I anticipated what would you suggest I do?

I soaked the gloves in cold water for half an hour, then wore them on a long ride on a sunny day. Leather will shrink to fit you better. Be aware - they probably won't accept a return after you do this - if the difference is more than 1/4 inch or so - shrinking won't help. Also, you aren't going to get custom fit gloves at anything like this price - your expectations seem to be a bit out of line for off the shelf goods.

Tried other gloves which arrive with a slick finish where you would grab the steering wheel. Do these gloves have a rough grip area?

These DO NOT have a slick finish, and have never had this issue with these gloves. In fact, the more you wear them, the more they break in, get softer and conform more to the shape of your hand, but they are pretty great brand new even without the break in time...

I have very long slender hands - would any fit? My hands are 8" at knuckles, 8.25" Hand Length, 4.5" for the longest finger (from knuckle to tip)

My longest finger is a bit more than 4 and a half inches and these fit me. They also stretch a bit if you make a fist over and over.
