This is a great travel mug. It’s a good size, leak proof, easy to drink from when in the car, and keeps my drinks hot for 4-5 hours or so. It’s so trustworthy that I can put it in my bag and I know it won’t leak at all. The lid can be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher, but the cup needs to be hand washed. I’d recommend washing it with a brush every day. You won’t be able to fit your hand in it to wash it with a sponge, and the staining builds up quickly if you’re using it for hot drinks like tea.The colours are lovely, but I really think the coating/paint needs to be more durable. I’ve got a Sho tumbler, which I love, but it’s not leakproof. However, the powder coating is much harder wearing on my Sho. I can push it into my car’s cup holder without any scratching. The contigo scratches so easily (my ring even managed to remove some paint the first time I unscrewed the lid). I certainly wouldn’t consider putting it in my car’s cup holder - it would scratch straightaway.If you’re buying a cup that’s a nice colour, the coating should be strong enough to withstand normal everyday usage, especially for the price (they seem to be over £30 now, whereas I paid £23 in November 2024).That being said, this is a great cup. I’ve had my other Contigo West Loop Autoseal Travel cup for 5 years. Yes, it’s scratched and has a dent from having been dropped, but it still works perfectly. I just think they need to improve the coloured coating in line with others companies.

Been using these for years as I’m a bit of a tea-aholic😂😂 it use them every day for work, travelling, at home & my last cuppa in bed at night. They are well made but to get them to keep my tea hot up to 5 hrs I have to heat the cup well with boiling water n also blast my cup of tea I’ve just made 10-20secs in micro not unless u heat the cup up with boiling water too. I only do this with the extra ones I take with me in the car when we go to see my dad 160 miles away. Other than that they are very easy to use. In the summer u can easy use them for cold drinks too

I was slightly disappointed with the colour when I first saw it - it didn't seem to be purple. It is subtle, but it's growing on me. In terms of design and function I am very impressed.It's got lovely ergonomics, it fits nicely into my hand and the surface just feels nice. At first I thought it was a really high price for, basically, a cup. Everything about it feels quality, the mechanism for locking the drinking spout snaps into place with a really satisfying click, the button to open the spout is easy to use with either hand.It doesn't need a handle because of the no spill design - you don't need to keep it upright, very useful for me when carrying a lot of stuff out to the car. It can just go in a bag. I have tested the 'no spill' claim by shaking it about and also leaving it on its side. There have been no leaks from the seal between cup and lid or the drinking spout when trying with hot drinks or cold ones.It also does what it claims in terms of keeping things at temperature. I have never owned a cup that kept a hot drink hot properly like this one does. In fact, you need to put your drink in at your drinking temperature if you want to drink it soon. I haven't even noticed a reduction in temperature if I drink part and finish the rest later. My usual coffee is 225ml milk and 2 lungo shots of coffee which fit perfectly. The stainless steel also means the flavour isn't tainted when I have different drinks.I looked at this probably a dozen times before I bought it. Having owned it for less than a week I'm already thinking of getting another.

I splashed out and bought this after reading the reviews and yes I agree it’s leakproof, fits in the car holder perfectly, cleans easily and keeps your drink piping hot. Where I have a slight issue is that it does make the coffee taste different and is like drinking straight out of a Thermos flask. For me it keeps my drink too hot so I have to make it in advance and cool it to the correct temperature but for those wanting to use it as a flask then it’s perfect. Value wise, it’s no better quality than the cheap one I replaced it for BUT it does feel and look nice and it’s still a mug which you can drink from in the car rather than have to pour a flask
