Great resource
EDIT: I requested an exchange, and it arrived the next day. The printing was just as it should be. I have read some of the exercises and look forward to working through them with my son. I think the age range of 8-11 is appropriate. My son is almost 6, so I will use this book at a slow pace and adjust as necessary.ORIGINAL Review: I have requested a replacement and will adjust my review accordingly if it arrives in a usable form. The first copy I received is a misprint. The text is printed upside down (relative to the cover), backwards (flip through the pages in the opposite direction as a normal English text book), and a large portion of the side and bottom are cut off making this unusable since big pieces of text are missing.

My 9 year old asks to do activities from this book!
Since Covid my son has been presenting some signs of anxiety, In addition to therapy I bought this book to help him have some coping skills for it. He loves the activities, we go through them before bed and if there is something that will take longer we will do it the next day. He requests it at night now.

Phenomenal resource for therapists or parents
I am a child psychologist, and I just received this book. The author knows her stuff. I would say that the book is a variety of the "essentials" for helping kids learn about thoughts, feelings, and behavior. It also has some really creative hands-on exercises like using a cup of water and a pitcher as a metaphor for when feelings overflow, or holding an ice cube to teach tolerating discomfort. Quickly became one of my favorites on the bookshelf.
