Fits perfectly for OE replacement and meets quality standards.
Fit perfectly for my stock suspension of my 01' Jeep XJ Cherokee. Keeps steering as stable as the original damper did. Happy with purchase!

Works great in 1997 TJ Sport
Great replacement for stock OEM steering damper. Hardest part is removing the old one. Used a pitman puller to remove the old one after spraying it with PB Blaster and letting it sit for a while. Don't beat on this with a hammer go to a local auto store and rent a pitman puller if you don't have one. Once the old one was out took about 10 mins to install the new one. I torqued the bolts to 35 ft pounds as the directions said normal specs are 55 ft pounds. Frame bolt torqued to 55 ft pounds.

Affordable option, but incomplete?
It does not come with a dust boot. I bought this assuming it would come with a dust boot and was let down. The product pictures do not show a dust boot but the product box I recieved does... now I have to source my own dust boot.Seems decent enough.

Great Fit For My 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ, Made in USA
The 27 year old factory steering dampener on my Jeep YJ wasn't really doing its job anymore, so I got this to replace it. It is much stiffer than the old worn out one! Driving feels much nicer now, and I don't have to fight with the steering wheel through every pothole on a bad road. The hard part was getting the old tapered bolt out of the tie rod. But once that was removed, installation of this new steering damper was straightforward and I had the jeep back together in 15-20 minutes. I used the included hardware, which was great of them to provide. So far so good! As I mentioned, steering is much better now, and compared to the old one, this felt much beefier than the original. Plus, not that it's necessarily an indicator of quality, but I like the fact this one has "Made in USA" stamped on the housing as well as the box it came in. Also nice that it looks OEM unlike a lot of those crazy aftermarket jeep parts out there.

Perfect fit for 2006 Jeep TJ Rubicon
Nice part. Easy install. If you have a Jeep TJ, this is the one you want. I've used many of these over the years / 200K miles. Works great. I change it out about every 20K miles. Tip: Leave the mounting stud (included in this kit) in the drag-link to save yourself the headache of pressing it out. This also removes the need to mess with the crown bolt & cotter pin on the ground side of the mounting stud. Just unbolt your existing damper from the engine facing (top) side of the drag-link, push off, reinstall new, and done! On the wheel side, once you remove the bolt and the existing damper, re-orientate the bolt so that the loose nut is on the front-bumper side. This also makes things easier for install and future replacement. Also, purchase the rubber boot and then re-use it until it falls apart and you need a new one. Make sure to put the rubber boot on prior to installing the damper!

Good quality
Considering it doesn't cost very much and is super easy to install i figured "why not." I know it's not really needed but it's not expensive so why not. They put it on there for a reason.
