Pressure is slow
I was expecting the pressure to be stronger after reading other reviews , I can’t really rinse much with this .

Fabulous - great for cleaning the dog, my mountain bike & boots when back at the car
I am absolutely delighted with this purchase. I bought it to take in the car with me to wash down the dog, by mountain bike and my boots when I get back to the car after biking on forest tracks and trails. My bike comes into my car so I don’t want mud in with it. My main concern before I purchased, was that the pressure coming out of the head would be sufficient to actually do much good, especially when one turns the head upside down to do the dog’s undercarriage, but its great, and gives a much better strength of flow than I had hoped for – see my video clip.Although I don’t have a lot of strength in my hands, being 62 now & a woman, I was able to build up the porta shower and hand tighten all the parts sufficiently that they did not let air pressure or water escape when I pumped it up to pressurise the tank. The pictures in the instruction manual could have been clearer as to which way around the small white parts should go but trial and error sorted that out. I found dipping the ends of the hose into a cup of boiling water softened them enough for me to fit them over these small white parts before screwing them down, I was assembling this in my freezing laundry in January in Scotland & the pipe was pretty ridged with cold.I bought an additional 10-litre water carrier so I can top up the porta shower if extra washing is required. Note: this porta shower says it is 7 litres capacity, but you are actually only meant to fill it with a maximum of 5-litres. This would be a great buy for camping, families with kids going to the beach, and certainly dog walkers who take their dogs to muddy areas or beaches. I am thrilled with this purchase.

Totally recommend, got me out of a fix.
Yes. If you have reason to need one of these, then don't hesitate. I had one when my heating was out of action for a month in the dead of winter. A 2.5ltr kettle full of boiling water, and top up with cold for a nice shower temperature and there's plenty to shower in. A good few pumps to bring up to pressure at the beginning, and it may last out the whole shower. Or if the pressure needs topping up, will only take a couple of pumps. It's not a power shower, obviously, and you should rinse, lather, rinse lather. rather than expect to stand under constant running water. But it got me out of a fix,and will be useful for camping trips, dog washing whatever other purposes you can think of. Totally recommend.

perfect for dog walking
Bought to take with me dog walking - I have a small, light cockapoo and any wet or muddy weather when we go for a long off lead walk somewhere he is just black with dirt/mud. Washes well, head powerful even though it looks small. I almost wish it had a shower/scrub attachment so it can scrub as it showers but have to use hands for that - which is challenging when trying to hold a dog and shower at the same time.Very good and effective - I towel dry him then put on one of those dog towel robes (perfect when its winter and they are wet and cold) and by the time we drive home he's almost dry - saves the need of trying to re-soak him when he gets home. Cockapoos take forever to dry sometimes.Manages to do 2-3 dogs - also very good to ensure paws been washed as in the New Forest you hear a lot of Alabama Rot.I have put hot water in it put it in the car and by the time we use it 1-2 hours later its warmer than using a hose pipe (will be good in winter as dogs get in the car shivering usually from the rain/mud)marked it down a little for sturdiness - only because it falls over in the car when driving - even behind the back seat - I put it in a larger back with flat bottom to stop it tipping over now.Recommended - esp for winter with muddy walks.

A brilliant and versatile gadget to suit many purposes
What a great product this is by Hozelock, I’m really impressed with it. It markets itself as a multi-purpose water dispensing product that can be used as a portable shower for camping or washing your dog/bike etc, or for watering the plants. As a regular camper it’s nice to have the facility as we’ve stayed in some dumps in our time, but my primary use for this Hozelock is to shower down our Border Collie after she’s found the latest pool of mud to bathe in.The unit is surprisingly small so easily portable. It even has a shoulder strap should you require it, and its size ensures it doesn’t take up too much room in the car. It takes less than 5 minutes to assemble the first time, and it operates by removing the lid and filling with water, and then pumping the handle a few times to generate some pressure. There’s a small shower head with a trigger, which can be locked on if wished, and it empties the 7-litre capacity in about 3 minutes or so. If you’re using it to wash the dog then it’ll last a lot longer than that as you’ll only trigger-spray water as you need it. I tend to fill the unit up with warm water from the kitchen tap and wash the dog down in the yard so the dog doesn’t seem to mind it at all. It’s a superb product, and for the money it represents excellent value.

absolutely brilliant!
WOW - why didnt I buy one of these two years ago!! This just washed a very muddy dalmatian in about three minutes! Cant say she was very impressed but I certainly was.Easy to put together I put four litres of water in and took around a litre to wash her - really easy to build up the pressure for the shower to work - cleaned my wellies as well!Hot water in and nice and warm when i finished the walk
