Braun Series 8 83M Electric Shaver Head Replacement Cassette, Silver

I bought this replacement head for my S8 shaver, and it fits perfectly. The blades are super sharp and give a close, smooth shave without pulling or irritation. My husband complained that his expensive electric razor that he used to love was no longer working well so he had started using disposable safety razors, which he hates. My Braun Series 8 razor is about 4 years old. I kept putting off buying this replacement head because the old one was working and at the price, I always debated whether it was worth buying versus buying a new razor altogether. I didn't want to spend $60 if it wasn't going to improve how well it shaved, but I'd been annoyed recently that the razor wouldn't get to some of those tricky spots except with many passes over them, in particular, my upper lip just below the nose. I finally decided to give the new head a try, hoping that it would improve things enough to justify the expense. All I can say is wow, I wish I hadn't waited so long. This old razor with a new shaving head is nothing like it was before the new head. I guess the changes to how well a razor shaves happen so slowly that you don't really realize how bad it's gotten, but this new shaving head has dramatically improved my shaving experience and I would say the expense was well worth it.

I tried to go cheap with off-brands and returned them as they did not shave close. I bought this shave head and it's like shaving when the razor was new. Braun recommends a new head every 6 mos. But I finally replaced mine when the blades wore through, and the foil started scratching my face. This was 3.5 years with the original shave head. Braun is more expensive than others on this site, but you really do get what you pay for. Will always buy Braun

Finally the real deal. No pinching, bad shaving and no falling apart, or cuts. This blade cost double the knock offs because it’s actually what you would expect of Braun quality.

I have previously bought two of these in the past. But they were cheaper, and not from the Braun store, and did not come in official packaging. I had bad experiences with each of them. The first one I returned almost immediately as it did not shave well at all, and it sounded off when I turned my shaver on. The second one was a little better, but not a lot. I kept that one, but after 2-3 months, it got progressively worse, and usually was very uncomfortable to use if I had more than a day's worth of whiskers to shave. But this one, from Braun, and in official packaging, was great from the first time I used it. It snapped in place easier and better than the previous two, and properly. I had about a 3-4 days growth of whiskers I was shaving the first time I used it, and it shaved them perfectly, with absolutely no discomfort. And it did such a great job, I could hardly even tell I was shaving with it. This is the one you need to get for a replacement for your Series 8 Shaver.

Don't waste your time or money on non Braun usually Chinese made knock offs. The real Braun cost more, don't cut your face, are smooth & even, and last three times longer.
