Good inverter for my use
Had a problem with the unit (bypass circuit failed), had to ship it back and have it repaired. To Aims Power's credit, they covered the shipping back to them and for the return (which would have been about $50 each way). Stuff happens, not too worried about it. As far as The Inverter Store, they weren't much help. The price is low, however they just drop ship and never see the product, so the shipping is from Aims Power. They were more of hassle then a help--if I didn't go through Aims, The Inverter Store would have left me hanging for shipping. As far as the inverter itself, I'm mostly pleased. I'm using it in a fifth wheel RV application for various circuits which include a residential refrigerator. Most of the time it's just idling at about 6-8% of capacity to run the refrigerator and will keep everything running from place to place with minimal battery drain for an entire day of traveling, however that's with the minimal charging happening from the tow vehicle. I've run the setup with a heavier load for five hours on two 6 volt batteries in series, paralleled with 1 12 volt battery and only dropped about 1.5 volts overall. The charging function and transfer circuit work as advertised, and the remote panel gives enough information to be able to properly monitor what's happening. The only drawback that I see is the transfer/bypass function--the inverter has to be constantly powered on for the bypass to operate. If you shut off the inverter, the circuits powered by it do not get any power at all. That may be OK, however living full time in the RV with the refrigerator running constantly means the inverter is never shut off. I can't really say if that's a bad thing, and other than putting in a manual transfer function, I don't know what I would suggest as an improvement. We'll see how the long-term reliability is in the application.

Problems
Did not work correctly in my motorhome. Company was very hard to deal with. In the end had to eat $1800.

Need to resolve one issue
I think this interter/charge is just what I need. However, it seems to have one issue I will be asking for some guidanace on. During two power interuptions at my house, the built in GFI recepticle reset itself (to the off /disconnected mode). Therefore it was unable to provide any power even after the utility power returned. Once this anomaly is resolved, I would rate the unit as 5 stars.

Clean install and clean power.
So far so good. very easy installation, I didn't have any problems with the instructions. This is in a off grid log cabin. replacing a 1750w non pure sign inverter and separate charger/ transfer switch set up. The biggest complaint was if I would turn on a load the power would jump and give electronics grief. The new AIMS is a much cleaner set up being all in one. the charger works much better at keeping my big old Rolls battery's charged with less strain to the generator ( Honda EU3000i ) . I have no more power fluctuations turning on a load. I even tried running a concrete mixer 1700w? on the inverter no problems. My only complaint or suggestion would be I wish it would close the circuit for the line in to the line out when in the off position. So if something failed you could still run on the generator and it would pass though the inverter.here's hoping it lasts for a good long time.

Does NOT support LiFePO4
Contrary to the advertising and even the manual, this charger DOES NOT support LiFePO4 batteries. There is no setting on the actual inverter for LiFePO4 - and the manual just tells you to set it to the lead acid profile, which is incorrect. This charger does not run a proper CC/CV lithium charging profile in the lead acid setting. It starts to fold back the current quite a bit before the charging voltage is reached, which is the wrong way to charge lithium batteries and will shorten their cycle life over time (albeit slightly, but LiFePO4 batteries are expensive). Also the charger in the 1500W version is only 40A, not 50A as stated in the advertising and the manual.I bought this unit for the UL458 listing because it's going in my travel trailer. It's built like a tank and it powers everything I need it to (I basically got it so I could run my coffee maker while boondocking). I have it paired with an AIMS 30A solar controller and 400W worth of panels on the roof.

Recommend, and I agree
This unit was recommended for my vintage RV, to charge a lithium battery and handle solar power input. It came in on time, well packaged, installed easily, works great AND Aims picks up the phone if you want information. Happy to recommend!

Terrible customer service and they sell old (not new) stuff
Represented as new but was 7 years old and didn't even work. Gave me the run around after i asked them to reimburse me for repairs since it didn;t work from new. Box it came in said manuf date May 2021 but serial number on unit shows 2015! Their website is deceiving too. They make it appear they are connected to the product manuf when in fat nothing could be further from the truth. AMAZON was ZERO help too BUYER BEWARE!

Sump pump backup
I built a sump pump backup in case of power failure. This unit supports 300% surge and can be used in conjunction with solar for long term emergencies. I use a ub121000 battery as a power source with in-line circuit breaker.
