Prelief Acid Reducer Caplets Dietary Supplement, 300 Count

These save me whenever I eat acidic food. If I don't use them when I eat acidic food, I feel like I have a UT,I and I don't. It is just my bladder irritation. Try these, they are great. Put some in your pocket when you go out to dinner, too, if you want a wine or spaghetti sauce. I love these.

The recommended dose of 2 tablets with food or coffee doesn't do it for me, but 4 does. I just need more. If it doesn't take all the IC symptoms away I follow up with the recommended dose of Bladder Ease. Between the two I am doing very good. My IC started two years ago just out of the blue. Two months ago I had emergency Small Bladder surgery with a twisted bladder that was cutting off blood supply to the rest of the bowel. Interestingly enough, my Urogynocologist had one of his nurse practitioners working with me on the IC Diet. Regarding my symptions she placed me on a SIBO diet (Small Intestional Bacterial Overgrowth). She felt something in my bowel was causing this bacteria to multiply which ultimately severely affected my bladder. I have been on major antibiotics because of this. At times even the diet didn't work, although most of the time it did. After this emergency surgery, my IC has improved 75%. I am IC symptomatic still and for that reason I face each day with caution. But to improve 75% is huge for me. The nurse was correct, it did have something to do with the small bowel. There is so much IC around that I really do not understand why they are not running test on the bowels to find a probable cause. I am glad my bowel when ahead and twisted so much I had to be opened up leaving 22 stables. I don't care about that. That was a breeze compared to living with no end in sight to major IC. I used Prelief and Bladder Ease before the emergency but had to walk the line on the diet and not break it AT ALL. Even then still, about once every 7 weeks needed antibiotic. Like I said I am IC symptomatic. But I can eat foods that should be sending me to the hospital with IC but I'm getting away with it with just a little bit of help from Prelief and Bladder Ease. I only take the Prelief with questionable foods. Life is good again and look forward for the small bowel to completely heal. When that happens I believe my IC will go away permanently. There are internal reasons for IC. It should not be left a "mystery" illness. Tests should not be outrageously priced. Drug costs should not be through the roof. Medical plans should pay for tests that can eliminate probably causes. I know I'm asking for a lot but two years was an eternity for me and some women have had this for a decade or longer and I can't even imagine that.

Interstitial cystitis is now used as an umbrella term. And has absorbed overactive bladder syndrome, painful bladder syndrome,and several other diseases. It can mean many different things from person to person. When i was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, it was a rare disease only affecting women post pregnancy or childbirth and at least 35 years of age. I was none of those. I was 15 with no prior pregnancies or use of birth control. I had had chronic recurring utis for 10+ years, was no longer allowed to take antibiotics, and had been incontinent my whole life. I was in constant pain and always had blood in my urine. So i got the entire shirtstick. I have no bladder lining,constant ulcers and infections. I have a neurological disorder called fibromyaglia and early onset neuropathy and somewhere in the mix of that my nerves are kinda fried so i have constant muscle spasms, loss of muscle control, and all around weakening of the bladder muscle itself. My body cannot naturally regulate normal conditions nor sustain healthy bacteria and such. So for me, they go hand in hand. A flare up of my IC leads to and encourages a UTI because my urine is full of bad bacteria and my urine is so acidic it eats ulcers in the muscle which then get infected. I have been able to regulate with the use of prelief (i take 3 do uses a day with my regular medicine) Elmiron, and oxybutynin. I haven't had a flare up since i started taking them. My life has been changed dramatically. My only drawback is that taking it regularly has given me acid reflux and i can't drink water without getting heartburn anymore.

Anyone with interstitial cystitis will LOVE this product. No cure, but this product allows me to indulge in a little fruit, coffee and carbonated drinks.

This helps neutralize the acids in my foods and drinks that reign terror on my bladder condition. I can eat or drink almost anything when using this.

I love prelief and I will continue buying it as long as i deal with IC. I am able to eat a lot of trigger foods with prelief that I have still eaten accidentally without it and immediately flare up. Theres a significant difference, even with flares, prelief decreases how long they last. I would have to restrict what I eat so much more without it. I hope this product continues to be made forever.
