This brand of rum cake is the same as the one made and sold on the island of Tortuga. I ordered this cake after returning from a vacation and realizing we didn't buy enough on our trip. The cost was the same as on the island. The cake is very flavorful with the run and pineapple. I sugest cutting small pieces because the rum can be strong. It was moist and had a perfect cake texture. Ordering this from home is much easier than buying it on the island and stowing it in your luggage. No one has to know!

This cake is fresh, moist & very similar to a very moist pound cake except it has a mild rum flavor. I detected no pineapple anywhere but it could be a flavoring they put in it? It reminds me of pineapple upside-down cake without the pieces of pineapple, which would be a very good addition in this. This is very good, rich cake, GREAT for GIFTING as is bec the packaging is so cute & its mild (anyone would enjoy it), but for ME, it's too much like pound cake FOR THE PRICE. I'd want more rum in it or dark rum? or fruit (idk) to want to reorder. I don't run to it like something I can't get enough of but is very good with coffee. Hard to explain. Very moist, very fresh, packaged protectively, sweet but not too sweet, you can taste the authentic rum in it. It's high quality & gr8 4 a gift.

Horible, it has soya bean oil, the first oil anyone can eat...dont order this. It contains the most unhealthy oil...I tryed to cancel my order before it was shipped But not possible. Luckily Amazon helped out by issuesing a gift card for the lost money. As soon as it arrived, I looked at the ingredients and threw it out. And ifvyiurvexoecting rum, read ingredient before buying...less than 1% rum in entire cake

CAKE IS DELICIOUS BUT PACKAGE WAS CUT INTO BECAUSE OF POOR PACKING. THERE WERE GLASS ITEMS IN THE SHIPMENT WHICH BROKE BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT PACKING PROPERLY -- CUT INTO THE PACKAGE OF CAKE AND SPILLED ALL OVER EVERYTHING ELSE.
