This is one of our favourite board games: fun, cute, quirky and clever! Rat themed monopoly with cheese puns, whats not to love?

This seems to the the perfect game for family and friends.
So I got Rats to Riches last year and managed to bust it out for December time. I took this game out as a quick, light wind down game with not much strategy and silly fun. My family (age 25+) are seasoned board gamers with a large collection of intensive strategy games that have a play time of 60+ minutes. This is our experience with the game:1. We had fun and laughs, such a light hearted game, that it was refreshing from intense games and everyone was able to get it grips of it quickly.2. We played it over and over again for 3 weeks straight. It was an instant hit.3. We was impressed with the custom pieces, the cheese, models and the simple artwork and puns on the cards.4. Easy set up, 2 minutes shuffling and 1 minute set up, so playing another round was favoured over moving to another game. The game can be quick as long as players stay committed to the game.5. Replay value is there. For 3, 4, 5, players play differently and learning how players strategise on the available cards you have to adapt.6. We introduced it to more family members and tried to get as much players to play as possible, it really is a family game.7. It works well for social interaction, a little bit of guessing, 'take that' moments, celebrating when everyone gets rewards and players really excelling over others.8. You can tweak the game play and there is enough cash supply to increase the winning goal.Cons: Rules are not deeply documented and too simple. There have been moments where we hit a situation and there are no rules or explanations for it so we had to come up with house rules for that.I would describe this similar to monopoly deal but I hear a lot of members describing it to ,King of Tokyo, due to the card buying system.Should you buy it? £20 or less, is a deal worth going for. For me, any game that is played more than a few days is worth a buy and Rats to riches did that. In my collection I have expensive high rated games on BGG and my friends and family felt that 1 game was enough not to play it ever again, and that to me is a waste of money.
