I was looking for padding to put on my 2 post lift to protect the vehicle doors when getting in or out of the vehicle. I used half on each side and installed it with spray on contact adhesive. It is doing that job perfectly. it is soft enough not to mar the finish and dense enough to protect the doors.

It suited our purpose (lining a mountain dulcimer carrying case) perfectly.

I was looking for something more like sponge, or for cushioning, and this is unfortunately just a soft, very dense foam sheet on a roll. It isn’t as firm as cosplay foam, but it isn’t light enough to be used in construction of puppets or stuffed toys. It sort of sits in the middle where you just have a very soft and pliable material that is easily cut but still too heavy for most crafts, and too soft for the rest. If you are just looking for insulation or something to protect your stuff I am sure this is fantastic. It looked a lot lighter and like it had more give to it in the application photos but no. It’s soft, but very high density foam.

I really like how soft this foam is. I'm using it as a tailgate pad for camping. The only downside is the outer layer is very thin and I've put a few nicks in it already standing on it. As it wasn't made for this purpose I'm not surprised, but still a title disappointing.

I used this and weather tape to insulate my window around the window ac unit. Works great.
