This ring was a great addition to the engagement cake. It was a conversation piece and was a great value for the money. However ring lit up with blue light, which did not go with the cake colors. Ring would have been more attractive if the lights produced were more iridescent to simulate a real diamond.

I bought this ring for a girlfriend's bachelorette. The purpose of this ring was --from my perspective -- to have some tacky, fake, bling and to embarass --oops-- I mean "single out/draw attention to" the bride to be. Positives: the "diamond" is obnoxiously large, the flashing blue light is quite the attention-getter, light is easy to turn on and off, flashing light was still working at the end of the night. (I noticed some of the other reviewers said that they had problems with getting the light to flash or not flashing at all--mine worked right away).Negatives: the bachelorette in question is very petite and thin with small hands and we could not get this ring to adjust small enough for her tiny fingers so the top heavy ring shifted from left to right when on her finger and just did not stay on properly. (I realize that one might use a ribbon or scotch tape to make it stay on her finger, but it is just a nuisance to have to do so and as I purchased in a rush, I did not consider this factor before my purchase. When buying something brand new, I would rather not have to fuss around with some sort of self-concocted contraption to make the ring stay put). If your bachelorette has petite hands, you might consider purchasing some long beads you could string this on in case it is too big for her finger.Despite the size problem, it was still a big hit at the bachelorette party and did serve its purpose. However, as it is plastic and pretty cheap, I have my doubts if it would withstand constant use for over, let's say, three days....I gave it a two stars for durability because it did last through the night, but I am rather skeptical as to its ability to last for an extended period of time.

Worked well with costume a little small and uncomfortable asf

I bought this for the top of an engagement cake . It was perfect except I was disappointed we couldn’t get it to light up…. Well low and behold, my techy grandson grabs it and gives it a turn and voila! It lit up perfectly. You might want to add that in the box. It didn’t tell you how to make it light up. Probably most comments about that were because they didn’t know how to do it. Perfect ring for what I needed.5/5

I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old daughter as she had told us she wanted a "big crystal" [diamond] for Christmas. I knew it would be too large for her finger and that is fine- we put some ribbon on the ring to make it fit her better. My main complaint is that the light-up feature is very touchy. It doesn't stay lit when it is tilted certain ways and it is hard to find the "sweet-spot" for where to turn the ring to get it to come on. She has had it a week and is still happy enough with it, but she will surely forget about it in a month or so. However, since it was pretty cheap and you get what you pay for I can't say that I am surprised. Furthermore, it filled the Christmas list request where nothing else I had found would. Just don't expect this to be a sturdy product that will last.
