They're high tension strings which I personally prefer, but some may like a lower tension string. I've used these on and off over the decades, depending on if I want a very bright string with lots of harmonics. A very specific sound and not versatile. For certain types of music they can have too much harmonics and can sound too metallic. It depends on what type of music that you play and based on that the strings might be great or be the wrong sound. Overall I've always appreciated the quality of these strings. The Tite-Fit makes it feel a lot smoother than the typical round wound which is a plus.

Son mi marca y modelo preferido; suenan muy claras, duran bastante, no se comen tus dedos. La caja llegó en malas condiciones pero eso lo atribuyo a la revisión del producto en la aduana.

I’ve bought DR strings a good few times over the years and thought I would try this particular gauge that were nickel wound. They sounded incredible and even one of my best mates who is an incredible bass player asked what had I done to my bad as it sounded so good. I said I had just put these strings on. This was fitted onto my Spector 5 string with a 3 band eq. Real killer growl and great sound for Jazz, funk, soul and rock if you adjust your settings. Highly recommend these and I am definitely buying some more.

Amazing tone. But…far too stiff for playing any length of time. Although only a light gauge, they are super inflexible. Great if you have strong fingers and like very direct string feedback. Not for me unfortunately
