Pure Protein P 100% NATURAL WHEY VANILLA 1.6 LBS

I bought this mainly because it had lower cholesterol than other whey proteins. Previously, I was using two very popular brands without paying much notice to how much cholesterol they contained. If I'm drinking 2-3 protein shakes a day, that is a lot of cholesterol. Pure Protein is much lower in cholesterol and matches up with the more popular brands in most other nutritional categories. Overall, the vanilla creme flavor is mostly flavorless. This is fine with me and it would probably be good for mixing with fruit. For me, as long as a protein powder mix doesn't taste gross I'll be happy. This isn't gross to me, it is just bland. I'll continue using this product both for its quality and good price.

Seriously amazing stuff. So good, I eat it dry out of the tub. Dissolves great and tastes fine with just water. Love that it doesn't come loaded with a bunch of added vitamins since I take a multivitamin and then some daily anyway. Update Aug 4, 2013: Still in love with this protein powder. I think it's been about eight months now! Before, after my typical workouts, I'd feel quite sore the following morning, but ever since I started drinking a scoop of this mixed with water within 15 minutes of ending my workout, I feel totally fine the next morning. In fact, I can run five miles at an incline at least five days in a row because my muscles feel replenished and recovered. Before, I'd run three miles every other day and still feel quite sore. I love having a super easy way to consume protein immediately after my workouts that I can squeeze in before my cool-down stretches. This is seriously delicious too. I'm still not sick of the flavor ... although I've just started mixing half a scoop of Amazing Grass All Natural Drink Powder, Green Superfood, 8.5-Ounce Container to a scoop of this + 1.5 cups of water and it tastes heavenly!

I did a ton of research when looking for a good whey protein powder. This one seemed to fit the bill as far as ingredients and most of the reviews said the flavor was good. I'm happy I ordered it! I like that it doesn't have a ton of extra "stuff" in it and that it's low calorie since I'm trying to lose weight. The taste is almost like a melted vanilla milkshake. It says to mix with milk or water and I will say, it's definitely better with milk although that does add calories. I usually do half water and half milk. When mixed in a blender, it's really smooth. Most mornings, I don't have time to foll with that so I just mix it with a spoon. It is a little lumpy this way but it's not that big of a deal to me. I love that it's a quick easy breakfast and keeps me full til lunch. We have been really pleased with it and plan to order it again.

Thought I would finally get around to reviewing this product. I've been using it for a few months now and I really have no complaints. I stocked up when it was crazy cheap, combined with subscribe and save, and a coupon code, it came to around $10/tub. I ordered about 10 or so because I previously tried it and knew what I was getting. First off I noticed a lot of people complain about the taste. I'm not very picky and i've only tried vanilla by this brand. I find it on par with other vanilla proteins I have tried, actually better to be honest. Anybody who opts for a natural whey will know the taste will never be as good as the regular blends which contain all the chemicals and artificial flavoring that we are trying to avoid - unless you ordered the natural one by mistake? Pure Protein does have regular non natural blends too, so maybe try those. That being said this protein isn't 100% natural like another reviewer stated but its pretty close. I alternate between this whey and Dymatize' natural whey in chocolate. I like the variety between the two. Even the dymatize blend isn't fully natural, neither is ONs natural line. To truly go natural gets awfully expensive, last time I checked $30-40 per 1 pound tub. Its just not worth it to me. I find PP, dymatize, ONs semi natural blend to suffice as its mostly natural, while not being 100% it is nowhere as bad as regular stuff. This stuff tastes good, mixes easy, and is a bargain(at times). I will continue using it and definitely recommend it. Generally though, those who consume protein often, and other powders know that taste always come secondary. The profile and value always come first. The only other thing is this contains 5g sugar per serving whereas my dymatize contains none at all. A small complaint but it isn't a big deal to me as my daily sugar intake is low anyways since I eat pretty clean.

Summary: - 23 g of protein for 130 calories is about as good as it gets for flavored Protein Powders - Tastes great and filling. - Improvement on Older Pure Protein Products - No artificial sweeteners. Uses more natural Stevia Extract - No artificial flavors or colors - Low sugar (5g) I have tried many protein powders, and several Pure Protein ones. This flavor is great. It also makes a nice foamy shake for on the go when you don't have time to blend it up with ice. Its a great compromise for those of us that want something healthy, but are not militant enough to go with the unflavored stuff. A great balance of convenience while having higher quality ingredients. I have even added coffee and milk to this for mornings when I am in the go and it is awesome. Just throw it in a shaker bottle with ice and you are good to go!
