Good updated information
I used this in a Brain-based Learning course I taught over the summer. I liked the updates included from the last edition and my students felt it was very straightforward, provided details they could use, and clearly written.

A must for all educators!
Thank you Eric and Liesl. I love learning about the brain too. Thank you for the recent research that you applied throughout the entire book, practical "In the Classroom" sections throughout the entire book, and the fabulous organization of the book! I highly recommend this book for any and all educators. We must be consciously competent - "knowing why certain strategies work better than others to create an optimal learning environment."

Not great
This book does have great practical information in it but the way it is presented is not great. The writing is dull and sounds like a bunch of sentences were stuck together. There is surface level points made about the science behind the claims without really explaining what they mean. As others have pointed out, some of the claims are downright wrong and the book could be greatly reduced in size. Overall, good tips but as far as a how it reads its pretty awful.
