Q: Is this the poly dye for synthetic fibers? I've noticed the photo in the preview says POLY but the description does not, could you confirm?

Not sure what synthetic fibers your are looking to dye but this indicates it works on 100% polyester of nylon. For blends with natural fibers, it recommends using it mixed with a traditional dye package made for natural fibers. (Silk, cotton, rayon, and linen.

Q: Do you need to use a fixative?

You don't need to, I actually believe that it comes with one, but it helps.

Q: Will this dye a nylon/polyester blend?

It will but it will a very light color. For instance black dye would get you a gray color. Blended fabric just doesn't dye well.

Q: Would this work to intensify color of an acrylic scarf?

In my experience, no- at least not the color that is advertised. My dye was supposed to produce Kelly Green on my acrylic fabric. It came out a deep sea blue (with a green hue tint).
