Great for 10yr old boy
Bought this for my son, who typically likes all the usual Tom Gates, wimpy kid, treehouse type books. He says the danger gang is the best book ever & he read It cover to cover in 3 evenings. So would definitely recommend for 8-12 year olds.

"Danger"ously Good
What a great story! It's got an Eerie Indiana vibe, the characters are great and the style of the letter to Franky's pen-pal are great, small chunks that I can read to my 6 year old daughter, a chapter (month) a night! Perfect and Freaky at the same time.

Had high hopes...
We love Tom Fletcher books, my 11yr old and 6 yr old have enjoyed everything he has written, from dinosaur poo to creamers under the bed.The premise of this story is sound, but sadly it’s just not as captivating as The Creakers or The Christmasaurus. The 1st person narration in the form of a letter isn’t as engaging as I hoped it would be. My 6yr old has found parts funny, but after reading The Creakers where he begged me to read “just one more chapter” sadly this isn’t the case with Danger Gang, he can take it or leave it. As a loyal Tom Fletcher fan I would say it’s still a better read than a lot of of other books for this age, but doesn’t live up to the promise of its predecessors.

Not as exciting as the others
Love Tom Fletcher's books . Just finished the others and thought ooo great I'll get that as the others as the whole family fought to read these books. This book I really do not fun reading. The pictures throughout are not at detailed as the others like the christmasaurus or the creakers.. the stoey feels like it was a quick after thought. It's boring but I'm tredging through it for my son's . They don't see too excited to hear it either but I'll be interested to hear what they think when I finish it. Not written with the usual flair and excitement. Sorry Tom 😔

Now that was a good book!
I had read some of the reviews which said it wasn’t as good as The Creakers etc, so wasn’t anticipating it to be that great...But it was sooo good.. read this with my 10 and 8 year olds (girl and boy) and we absolutely loved it! It was so much fun and exciting - we breezed through it so quickly. I actually preferred it over the Creakers but still love that one also.. it was a brilliant book for us to read together, I got into as much as they did... hope Tom Fletcher writes another like this.. we have struggled to find something that we all enjoy! Also they loved it so much, we also bought it on Audible and they listen to it again and again.
