If you are a hobbyist that is making candles, this is definitely a much less expensive way to go to melt the wax for candle making. There are plenty of way more expensive units out there, but this is just basic and serves its purpose well.

It was recommended to use a pot of this type to melt candle wax using a double boiler method. Works well no dripping when pouring. The pot is very light weight. Its easy to clean by hand. I 've used it twice and melted up to 1lb of wax. I have a photo of the pot next to my 1lb soy candle project I did yesterday.also I like the thick silicone pad that comes with this pot..

This pot will definitely do what it's supposed to do however, the seller mentioned that it is a 4 lb pot which is why I bought it and this won't hold nearly 4 pounds of wax. I have a 2 lb pitcher and it is clearly smaller than that one. I would say it holds right around 2 pounds filled to the rim but for obvious reasons you shouldn't fill it to the rim.
