Better than OEM film from Samsung
Update 1 year later: this is hands-down way better than the Samsung one. I finally changed my screen protector because the film slid a little and/or stretched and started blocking my front camera. When I removed the film, I was surprised to find no scratches on my phone. The screen protector itself had no scratches or tears despite being on my phone for over a year! Applying the new one was very easy and forgiving, as long as you don't run out of that spray bottle. They should provide more of it or a way to buy more. A speck of dust got under it during the install. I was able to peel it off spray the area, and remove the dust with my finger. And it looks perfect now! I can think of no other screen protector that is that forgiving during installation, protects your phone, and won't tear or crack. Here's a tip I discovered by accident: after the protector is installed, do something that heats up your phone, like play a video game or do a software update. It will help smooth out any remaining bubbles. I will be buying these for every phone I get. I highly recommend this brand. The tactile feel of the Samsung screen protector is superior. But it is not worth the hassle and cost of changing screen protectors every few months. I changed my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. Original review: Samsung makes a similar TPU film that I would recommend over this one. This has some benefits but they don't overcome the biggest downside: the Armor Shield film is 1-2 mm narrower on the sides then the Samsung film. I actually confirmed this by putting my old Samsung film over this one, and the difference is obvious. As other reviewers have said, this film does not go over the curve. It actually does slightly, but nowhere near the edge. You can see where it goes over the edge during installation because it has a tendency to lift there until you smooth it out. I suspect Armor Shield wanted fewer complaints about their screen protectors lifting from the stupid curved edge and just avoided the issue entirely by making the screen protector narrower. But this is absolutely not a good way to protect your phone since you do have a stupid curved edge. It's something I would expect from some generic manufacturer, not Armor Shield. Interesting to note, nowhere on the packaging box does it say this is for the Samsung S23 Ultra. There is only a sticker sku label that says it's for the S23 Ultra. I suspect the same protector films are produced for the S23 and S22 line up rather than designing one to specification for the S23 Ultra. Lazy cost cutting. The crazy thing about the Samsung film is that despite coming closer to the case it has never lifted on me and I have used an OtterBox defender pro, OtterBox Commuter case, and currently a ShldAir Active case that has a bevel that is raised over the sides. So there is no reason to make these things narrower. The front camera cutout on this one is narrower than the Samsung film, which sounds better since it is a closer fit but can actually cause problems if you get dust or dirt on the edges or the film slides and the film protector blocks the camera cutout. It's too close for comfort. But mainly, the Armor Shield doesn't protect your edges where you are most likely to get sand (quartz) stuck between your case and screen protector and scratch the screen. Neither will give any kind of drop protection. Screen protectors are meant to protect against scratches to the front screen, while cases protect from fall damage and back glass scratches. The advantage of this one is that it is much easier to put on and very forgiving of problems with the initial installation, as long as you don't run out of the liquid. Which surprisingly, is very easy to do! During my first attempt, a single speck of dust got behind the film and I had to remove it and spray it liberally until I got the dust off. I wore latex gloves during installation, but I suspect as long as you spray your hands you can do this barehanded. I could not do something like that with the Samsung protector, and in fact, I ruined a few of them like that. These stupid films will draw every particle in the vicinity to them. They are lint magnets during installation. The Samsung film also has less resistance when swiping but that may be since I just installed my Armor shield film. I suspect that the oils from my finger will make it smoother over time and there may still be residue from the spray. One big advantage the Armor shield has: There was no crease during installation, fewer bubbles, and they disappeared quicker. The Samsung film looks awful when it goes on, but the film magically smooths itself out over 24-48 hours--as long as you didn't get any dust on the inside during installation. Which is not an easy thing to do. I tried this Armor Shield film out because the Samsung one was backordered but I will be going back to Samsung despite the advantages of this film because of the more precise fit. It's a shame. I really wanted to like this since I've had to replace my Samsung ones every 3-6 months due to tears in the film. Scratches are self healing but a tear in the film will not self repair. Armor Shield has a lifetime warranty which I immediately activated (you have 14 days to do it from the time of purchase) and was looking forward to testing out whether that was legit. I work around construction sites so my films never last. But my screen hasn't gotten a scratch yet. And I am not confident enough to wait and see whether this film will actually protect the screen since I know it for sure doesn't protect the edges. One final note: since TPU protector films are much thinner than glass protectors, the fact that the screen protector does not go over the curve is not noticeable in regular use, so asthetically, it looks fine, but functionally, it is not protecting your phone from scratches. And that's its only job!

This makes devices indestructible!
I bought this screen protector in Jan 2022, it is now Nov 2024 and it is hands down the best investment you can buy to protect your phone. I work using my phone and my job is physical and I constantly drop my phone on surfaces that should have destroyed it. I bought this because I had completely broken the screen on a previous phone and ended up having to wait fir my phone insurance to get sorted out to get a new phone. I could not wait since i use my phone to work. I ended up buying a crap ph9ne to get my by til i could get a new phone. I mention this antidote because once I got a new good phone I was determined I'd never deal with that again. I can't afford to go without a phone even for a day. I researched screen protectors and cases and came across this. I figured I'd get it since it wasn't expensive, I could replace it if I didn't like it. But after the first major drop that should have done some sort of damage and my phone was fine, I was sold. And since then I've dropped my phone probably hundreds of times in the past almost 3 years. I've dropped it on cement, large rocks, gravel from on top of step ladders, my phone has bounced when dropped. And I constantly drop it and this screen protector has protected it every time with no damage. If it get any damage you can rub it out like nothing ever happened. It can take a bit to rub some stuff out but it always does. I've got a Spigen case which it the other life saver that makes my phone indestructible! I also got this brand screen protectors for my watch and that works just as amazing! I'm constantly hitting my watch on hard surfaces, every once in a while it ends up with a scratch or bubble I just rub on it a while and it comes out. I've reinstalled the protector on my watch once or twice. Just peel it off re-wet it with the solution that comes with it (keep that solution and the scraper that comes with it for future use if needed) and scrap it again...good to go. PS- that scraper tool came in handy recently for me, I had to install windows clings for a job I was doing and I used that scraper tool to smooth them out. Using these screen protectors taught me how to install the clings. You follow the same steps installing window clings as you do for installing this screen protector. It's a thing screen with a slight rubbery feel which was different when I first started using it but after the first few hours I got accustomed to it. It's easy to install, watch the video in the instructions it's helpful. It can be removed and reapplied as much as you want, which for me was a big heal because im terrible at lining things up. It's easy to get out the bubbles. My work gets my phone dirty so I love that I can use disinfecting wipes on it no problem. I've been recommending this brand of screen protectors to everyone, even strangers. If you aren't sure about it try it, what do you have to lose for a $10 investment. If you don't like it after you try it get something else. But you won't be sorry, I swear! This screen protector and a good case you'll be set. I love the Spigen Tough Armor case which I've had the same amount of time. It's in good shape, one tiny spot broke off after a hard drop. It's a hybrid case so it was just the plastic part above the volume buttons on the side which doesn't effect anything. It's an amazing case! My phone can bounce like a ball and it's perfectly fine :) I spent about $35 for this screen protector and the Spigen case and it's hands down the best investment I've ever made.

My 1st review
I just got my new S8 plus phone and decided to add some additional protection to my phone. I decided to also start making customer reviews on this product to help out fellow buyers and make sure that they are happy when buying Amazon products. I will add additional pictures in the description as well. History I do have a S6 Edge and I have the same armor suit protection for almost a year and I can say depending on how you take care of your phone it does pretty well, and so I bought one for the S8 plus because I loved it. Pros and Cons Pros *The price - For the price of the product i believe it is fair as you do get what you paid for. *Installation -It was very easy to install the product. Make sure to follow the guidelines or you can go to www.armorsuit.com and watch the video on installation. honestly I attempted like 4 times putting it on to see if it will still look good after 4 attempts by taking the screen protector off and on and applying the spray that came with it and I can say with confidence that it still look pretty good after letting it dry. *The feel of the protector I love the touch and feel of it, as I was scrolling through the touch screen there was no issues or any lagging everything was smooth, and it did not really feel like there was any protector on my phone. *It is case friendly as I also bought a Unicorn Beetle Pro sup case it really fit well with the case. Cons The reason why I can't give it a 5 star *Fingerprints -After letting it dry, unfortunately it does leave fingerprints on the screen protector. you might need an extra microfiber cloth to bring wherever you go just to wipe them off. * The edges, on the right side where the power button is and at the bottom of the phone, since the screen protector does not really go all the way to the edge of the phone, probably to make it more case friendly, but you could feel the sharp edges whenever you try to swipe from the left to right to get the people edge and such. The bottom as well when I try to swipe it up for the home, back button i could also feel the sharp edges of the screen protector. You have to be aware and be careful to swipe careful as you could peel the screen protector off ( Now this disappeared when I put on my Unicorn Beetle Sup case as the casing did cover the sharp edges which could be a pro but without it would be a bit annoying to feel the sharp screen protect edges.) Verdict Other than the fingerprints being left and the sharp edges of the screen protector, it is a good screen protector. Now for me using it personal I am the type that is very careful with my phone in terms of handling, I don't do any heavy activities with my phone like using it at the gym, taking it for a hike. In my honest opinion I do have that feeling that if you still dropped your phone on a pavement it is still prone to crack, however as I said I am the type of user who is very cautious when bringing my phone out however for me my needs are satisfied because it does protect your phone when it is inside your pocket together with keys and coins and such as you can see with my S6 Edge for about a year it still holds up I am hoping it will still do the same for my S8 Plus and I will give an update in the future on how it holds up. l still would definitely recommend buying this product. For those who read this I would to say thank you for taking your time in reading this and hope you are satisfied with my review.

Great screen protector, easy to install, great feel and long lasting
I absolutely love these wet application TPU screen protectors, I have been using them for years on my phones, watches, and other electronic devices. They are easy to install, if done properly they last years before needing a replacement, keep original screen feel and sensitivity unlike glass protectors, and they protect the hell out of your phone. Pair it with a decent case and you will have a hard time hurting your phone. Previously I used to use IQShield brand but for some reason them and Skinomi have kind of disappeared? No website anymore and only have glass protectors for the new phones. So I swung over to Armorsuit since I knew they still made these protectors. Great product, installed on my wife's new s25plus, easy and perfect as always no problems, high quality feel and product. Ordered another set for my Father in law for his phone to replace a cracked glass protector he has. The company has amazing products and customer service. I reached out to them about getting a custom order for something they didn't have listed on their site. They were more than happy to help, I sent them measurements and few other things they requested and they made me a perfect fit vinyl wrap for me and shipped it to me. 5 stars for product, company and customer service.

READ ME IF YOU ARE LOOKING HARD FOR A GOOD SCREEN PROTECTOR
Getting a good screen protector is tough for a smart phone with a curved screen such as Galaxy S8 plus. After reading many reviews of both tempered glass and film screen protector, I decided to go with film because the film touches all parts of your screen whereas the tempered glass only adheres to the edges and there is an air gap between your screen and the tempered glass that reduces sensitivity and creates an annoying click click sound when tapping the tempered glass down against the screen in the middle. In looking for a good film screen protector, I decided to go with ArmorSuit because of its wet application method (I tried previous dry applications and the dry film always peeled off the curved edges). Things to note: 1) There are different size cuts: a) case friendly version leaves a gap around the edges intentionally, so do not think it was cut too small b) non-case friendly version, this does not work well with a case and have a high chance of bubbling up when touching the case c) sometimes Amazon packers ship out incorrect versions, so you receive Note size for galaxy 8, or galaxy 8 for galaxy 8 plus, or tempered glass (I think ArmorSuit only makes available tempered glass for iPhones), etc..., this is an Amazon issue, they are shipping incorrect items to you and has nothing to do with the quality of the product you are receiving. 2) Application is important. Best to apply in the bathroom. Layout a Bounty sheet on top of toilet to put your phone on. Turn on the vents to suck out dust. Turn on shower with hot water to steam the air for a few minutes, turn off shower afterwards, this will clean the air of dust since moisture pulls dust down to the ground. a) watch the video on how to apply b) there are two modifications I would make to the process i) when squeegeeing, be gentle and light, use finger tips to gently hold the screen protector down on the phone while lightly squeegee the air bubbles out. If you using too much force, the screen will move around and you will scratch the screen protector with the squeegee. Make sure spray the solution generously on the underneath of the screen protector when applying, and on top of the screen protector when squeegeeing. The good part is since this is a wet installation, you are allowed many redos, and you don't have to throw away the film just because you misaligned it on your first try. ii) when pressing down the edges of the screen protector, spend a little more time on this part, don't just slide your finger across the edge to push the film down but use your fingertips to hold the edges in places for 10-15 seconds for each section of the edge. then let dry for 24 hours, seriously you need to let it dry or the edges can become undone since there may still be liquid under the screen that may get forced under the edges if you start using your phone. Unfortunately there is no easy way to apply film screen protectors, and tempered glass screen protectors are easy to apply but have useability issues. If you are looking for a good film screen protector, and take pride in installing it on your phone meticulously, then this screen protector will work for you. After a few days the touch and sliding is smooth and the visibility is crystal clear. And please don't think this will protect your screen if you drop your phone, that is what a case is for. It's all very logical. Finally to add, ArmorSuit customer service is superb. You can contact them thru their website form, very easy, or call them. They are not robots, just tell them if you have any issues, be frank about it and tell exactly what the issue is, and they will do what they can to resolve your issue with sincerity. This is a 5 STAR product and company. Please ignore my 1 star rating as I wanted to help those researching this product. Hope this is useful to someone out there looking for a good screen protector.

The Best of the Best solvent screen protector
Absolutely the best screen protector out there. After years of buying and installing multiples of these on various phones and profiles, this is by far the best screen Protector out there. Very easy to install. Immediate use. Don't get fooled by reviews that say the corners lift, la di da di... It's all BS. I've installed multiple of these and have removed some as well. The corners are tightly placed and do not peel. Anyone that says otherwise has done a poor job of installing them. The install is superb and user friendly. ThxQ.

Okay Product, Poor Installation Tools, and Fantastic Customer Service
I had previously used a Yootech screen protector, but I had to get a replacement phone -- time for a new screen protector! Seeing as the Armorsuit shield had so many reviews and was rated very well overall with 4/5, I decided to give it a shot. I actually ended up having two attempts at using and installing this screen protector, but, unfortunately, both were a bust. My first attempt was when I first ordered the item. Due to a previous tip, I waited to install the screen protector until right before bed and right after a shower. The extra humidity in the bathroom helps reduce dust particles in the air, and you are supposed to let the device sit for 8-12 hours after installation before using it. The installation did not go as smoothly as I had hoped... While installing the protector, I noticed some dust particles got underneath. Since it was still wet, I was able to remove it and re-install. I noticed that dust particles persisted, so I went to attempt again. And again. It was then that I realized that the dust particles were not dust from the air, but black lint from the included microfiber cleaning cloth. These fibers bonded with the adhesive solution and stuck to the bottom side of the screen protector making them almost impossible to remove. Moreover, since they are black, it's nearly impossible to see them during installation, making them difficult to find and remove. On my last attempt, I deemed it satisfactory and left the device until morning... When I powered on the device, I noticed black fibers persisted. Frustrated, I removed the screen protector and contacted Armorsuit. Armorsuit provides excellent customer service. I explained the situation to them, got prompt email responses, and they quickly sent out a replacement. I was really impressed and can't speak more highly of their service. Kudos. The replacement came without solution and cleaning cloth, but that was alright because I had some leftover solution and my own cloths. Installation this time around was textbook -- quick and easy, no lint, no residue, and the next morning my screen protector was looking great. It was still slightly grainy-looking, but I let it be because bubbles and residue are supposed to evaporate within a few days. Now, three days after the second install, there are still visible streaks and the screen protector still produces a bit of a "grainy" look on the screen. Sad, but true (at least for me). All-in-all, I would describe the product as follows: 1. Reduced screen visibility due to persistent streaks and grainy-looking image transmission. 2. Mostly straight-forward installation -- if you have a better microfiber cloth that won't leave lint or fray. 3. The product itself should be great... Very thin, fits excellently on the device, and you're hard-pressed to even notice it's there, until you turn on your screen and see what is referenced in 2. above. 4. Responsive touch input. 5. Great customer service. I don't regret trying it, but I would recommend to others to give it a pass and search for another option. The installation issues were saved by the customer service and can be overlooked, but the reduced visibility is killer for me. I will be looking into other options.

Best screen protectors I’ve found
I’ve been using ArmorSuit for years and these are the only screen protectors I trust on my phones. The self-healing material really works, and they stay looking great even with regular use. Feels like the screen is fully protected without losing touch sensitivity. Application is super easy too, which makes it stress-free to replace. I’ve tried other brands over time but always end up back with ArmorSuit. Definitely worth sticking with if you want something reliable that just works.
