Fantastic X Wing
Great model and nice detail; though the fin details were the canons meet the wings is not there, but hardly noticeable. Like the Razor Crest I do wish it had a clear canopy and landing gear. I was a little concerned about the stickers being thick. After trimming them to be "Red 4" they are very thin, but can be a bit tedious to get to stick but once on they look just as good as decals. The canopy sticker is the most tedious of all, though I don't plan on having it on long once a mold is made of the piece and a clear version is made..Great little model!

Incredible detail, decals work well enough, paint would make it perfect.
As much as I love the Y-wing, I recognize the X-wing is the far more iconic ship. I am truly blown away with how much detail Bandai has managed to cram into such a small model, and it all comes together without a single flaw in the mold. I have yet to see an X-wing model that can collapse the folding wings without leaving some amount of space between them, and this model is unfortunately no exception. If you really wanted to display this ship exclusively in the collapsed position, I would recommend putting small amounts of glue or plastic cement between the wings to hold them together perfectly. However, the wings are perfectly functional, and look amazing in either collapsed or extended positions. I did not paint my model, and instead chose to apply the provided decals, which turned out very well despite some details clearly missing from the ship. I would recommend paint to any serious modeler, as I would with every other Bandai model. Overall, this is one of the best models in the 1/144 scale collection, one I would highly recommend!

Bandai Star Wars Mini Model Kit Vehicle 002 Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Starfighter
Here we have Luke’s “Red Five” T-65B X-Wing starfighter. I love these Bandai Model Kits. Being an avid Star Wars and action figure collector, I started with the great Bandai Kits like the Stormtrooper, Shoretrooper, Death Trooper sets, worked my way into some of the Droid sets, and now I’ve gotten into the Vehicle sets. These mini kits are great because the detail is still fantastic, the builds are easy, and if you just do your own paint deco, you can make these look like source accurate models. The build itself shouldn’t take you very long, minutes really. For me the decals (stickers) are what take the longest and is often the most difficult part, especially in this smaller scale. Placement of some of the decals and how they wrap around pieces can get difficult, but if you’re patient you shouldn’t have any issues. Weathering, paint deco, etc usually takes me a few hours since I don’t have an air brush and I do a coat of primer, (in this case grey and then white) before I even started building so it was a process. But I enjoy the process, these kits don’t require glue so that’s a plus. As I’ve gotten better at painting these, I’ve just grown to enjoy these kits more and more. Note that the S-foils can be put down or up in attack position. Another huge upside to how easy these are and that they don’t require glue, is that they’re dirt cheap. These mini kits are about $8 each. This model kit comes FULLY APPROVED.

Great details but
This kit is easy for beginners and it has great details for this price, but one of the down side is that some parts are fragile, couple of my parts broke and I had to use glue to put it back on.

Fun for all ages, even us 80's kids.
These are the coolest little snap together models. I felt like a kid putting it together. After the build I picked up some water based acrylics and gave it some detail. Then applied the decals and added some blaster wounds like the old 80's decals. Remember those kids. Bandai knocked it out of the park with these. If I had the room I would get the 1/72 scale version. But these will do just fine. Just received the Y and A wings. looking forward to building them, all the same scale. And best thing, they are all pretty much under 10 bucks. Very happy with these, quick build and paint, therapeutic as well like origami, and just good ole' plain fun. Vader's tie advanced and his sidekick are on the way. whoooopaaaahhhh.

If I leave a review, its a really bad buy
Not a completed model and not specified as such in the title, pictures, or description. Only if you dig to see the "whats in the box" section all the way at the bottom. I thought it was a little epensive but had really great detail & paint. Well its unpainted. Complete bust. This should be a $7 kit at most.

Model
This was neither great nor bad. If someone enjoys building small plastic models, this is a great gift. We got a bit frustrated at the stickers and them not sticking. We ended up painting parts. Some parts were also hard to get to click together.Pro: no glue needed unless you want the wings to stick in place. Relatively fast to assemble. Looks close to pictures.

Good Deal
As usual, Bandai has made a nice model. Although small in size the detail is amazing. Assembly is pretty easy following the Japanese instruction. Don't have to read Japanese, just follow the pictures. Hardest part is applying the tiny stickers. The only sticker problem I had was getting the cockpit sticker to not curl up. I would have preferred decals, like those in their larger models. For the low price, these are really a good deal.
