Good replacement
I just replaced a 14 year old rope and rode. this looks a lot like what came with my Searay SLX 270. installed easy and i got 150' over the 100' boat came with. Rode seems of good quality and length as advertised. Not sure how long it will last- but i expect it will be as good as the original. i doubt i will wait 14 years to replace this again- just not worth the risk. i'd be happy if i got 7-8 years and i totally expect to get that.

This line appears to be best as mooring rather than anchor line
This rode is fair. I have lived on the water and owned boats most of my life. The lay of the rode is not dense as it should be for a quality anchor line. I made the mistake of thinking that a marine store would sell the proper line for an anchor. This line appears to be best as mooring rather than anchor line. There is a difference and I would venture to guess that is how they make a lot of money on this product. I am not saying this rode is no good but do not expect a long life from this rode. This is probably a 2-3 year anchor rode rather than a 10 year line. Had I been in a store and checked this line I would probably take a pass. My advice is take a pass and get better quality .

Looks and feels Right
Installed a new Lewmar 700H windlass, also installed Dark Horse anchor rode. It went in effortlessly, the windlass grabbed the line securely. Tried the windlass and anchor rode at the dock a few times both function great. Black Horse Marine's anchor rode price is unbeatable and top quality, Highly Recommended

Great but missing a way to connect at either end, put in a D link and reinforced loop. Low cost big benefit.
