Pleasantly surprised had a good taste !
I recently started the keto diet as I’ve tried others and not been able to succeed in losing some weight so to make things easy I thought using a keto shake in the morning for breakfast would save me time and would be quick and easy to do. The Diet whey keto protein powder comes in a resealable bag but i’ve kept mine in a air tight container to . The powder does mix well i’ve been having it with oat milk , The taste is palatable and i quite like it .I just need to stick to the diet to see weightloss I’m very pleased with this shake .

Creamy and great tasting shake - quite expensive, but you can half the serving suggestion
For those on a high protein, low carb diet (such as Atkins) this shake is a great choice to get your proteins and fats in.The shake comes in a resealable bag with 600grams of powder inside it. Each serving is 50 grams, meaning you get 12 servings - although you do get a 25gram scoop and so you could half the serving and get 24 servings if you prefer. It will depend whether you are looking to use this as a meal replacement (in which case take 2 scoops) or a mid-meal snack (in which case take just 1).The main ingredients are the protein and fat. In a double scoop you get 13grams of fat and 20grams of protein with just 5grams of carbs (0.5grams of sugar). In addition, there is a good number of added vitamins and minerals to help with a healthy diet and there's also a number of ingredients added specifically help those on a Ketogenic Diet. MCT oil is a blend that is faster processed and used as energy than many other fats. Green tea, CLA and L-Carnitine all serve as appetite suppressants and fat burners.Moving on to the taste, even with just one scoop I was hugely impressed with the strength and tastiness of the salted caramel flavour. Mixing it with only water I found it tasted very creamy and exactly as I'd expect a salted caramel shake to taste. I can honestly say I really enjoyed this shake and would happily drink it when out and about - it didn't feel like a nutritional supplement. The one piece of advice I would give is to use a shaker bottle if you have one available - put the power in, pour in water and give it a vigorous shake for 20-30 seconds. Putting it in a glass and mixing it with a spoon leaves a fair amount of residue and powdery lumps (see photo).Overall, this is an expensive choice for protein powder. However, you are paying for quality: the added ketogenic ingredients, great nutritional profile and taste. Personally, I've found halving the serving and using it as a snack between meals rather than a meal replacement suits me better and makes it far more cost effective.

Keto-compatible, pricey and delicious...
I've found that Vegan and Keto compatible protein drinks are a really mixed bunch and some taste truly awful and you might expect this PhD Nutrition Diet Whey Keto to fall into that bracket - but the Salted Caramel flavour I tried is really good, in fact one of the tastiest protein shakes I've tried (and I've tried a lot). Even mixed with water it's creamy and rich tasting. It is undeniably expensive because you need two scoops per serving and so this 600g pack only contains 12 servings but at least each serving delivers a full 20g of protein, sometimes special-diet shakes leave you a bit short-changed on protein.Along with the protein you're getting some useful vitamins and minerals and a bit of added Flaxseed, CLA and Green Tea Extract, I'm not sure they add much to the overall efficacy and they probably help bump up the price. The recyclable bag packaging is really welcome, it reseals reasonably easily and isn't half-full like most tubs of sports supplements are, so they're not wasting resources shipping tubs of air around. The quality seems very good, it's an easy powder to mix and best of all it tastes so good you'd drink it even if it wasn't good for you. Result.

Tastes great and is KETO friendly
Salted Caramel FlavouringI’ve been on a KETO diet for the past while and I struggled to find something to kill the craving for sweetness. This shake tastes fantastic overall and kills my craving for sweetness and provides fat and protein for after workouts. It does not mix great with anything other than a proper mixer. Mixing it with a fork or spoon does not work really at all. Mixed with a shaker gave me a far more enjoyable shake.

My sister loves this
My sister recently started following a keto diet and she’s ok with soy isolate, unlike me, so I thought it was worth trying as she’s not keen on the slim fast keto shakes. Like me she loves the salted caramel whey isolate but makes hers with almond milk and coconut oil because she likes a slightly creamier shake. She loves everything about this shake - thick and creamy but not too rich, wonderful salted caramel flavour and more filling than the slim fast keto. This also contains a good range of vitamins, unlike many keto shakes so that’s a bonus. It makes it ideal as a complete meal replacement which is perfect for keto as we often lose interest in making food.I wish it used whey isolate and I’d buy it myself. It’s a keeper for my sister and she’s going to try other flavours too. She would rather buy a complete shake like this than use whey isolate and have to think about adding the right things to balance the protein out. I’d agree it’s easier for people starting out. There weren’t many keto shake options available when I started so I’m used to making my own, but it can be just as cost effective to buy a complete blend. These aren’t expensive if you consider the costs of MCT, coconut milk, protein powders and powdered vitamin supplements. Especially, if you wouldn’t use the ingredients for anything else.
