Sturdy, but also comfortable
I wanted a shoe that was both comfortable for walking and would be sturdy enough to last several years. This seems to be the one. I'm glad I ordered a half-size larger than my regular shoe because it fits just right. I like the traction and the convenient Velcro closure, which works well. Decent value.

Really a good, comfortable walking shoe
I had foot surgery twice in the past in the past two months. I was given conflicting information from my podiatrist and my doctor - exercise and stay off my foot. I had to wear bandages because my foot was slow to heal. I looked for a shoe that was easy to wear, easy to put on, easy to exercise in, and not look like an Abrams tank on my foot. I chose the Sketcher shoe because I had worn them before and had liked them. The shoes arrived quickly, and my first issue was, although they were exactly the same size, they weren’t the same size on my foot. The more athletic shoe gave good support, and were very good at standardizing my gait (very important), but the slip-on shoes were very easy to, well, slip on. But they also would pop off my foot mid-stride, which could have been an issue had it happened when I was unaware of it. The end result was keeping both pairs of shoes, but use them for different functions. My advice to others would be to look at how you use them, and order accordingly. Don’t assume that different shoes from the same manufacturer will fit the same in the same size - my experience showed that while one shoe fit perfectly in 12EEE, the other in a 12 would have been perfect. Sketcher has made good products that last a long time, and look good. However, when your foot goes under the knife, consistently requires a little more patience, and a willingness to return if they are too large or too small. My decision-point was that my experience with Sketcher was historically good, and the price allowed me to do what was needed without paying $100+ per pair. At $45, the knowledgeable risk was worth it when looking at a fairly particular need - and so far, they have been well worth it.

Comfortable, Good grip, Long lasting
This review for 2 years & 2 months of wearing these shoes (actually their predecessors of the same model). You could find longer lasting souls, but not in the comfort range these shoes provide. They have lasted this long doing 1 1/2 mile walks every day but rainy days, on pretty rough blacktop with a few grades up to 15%, but none of it flat + plus trips to local stores. They would go longer with some Shoe Goo (stinky until dry, but great stuff) on the outer heel. The outer heel"s outer layer has worn through to expose the softer inner material. I just bought another pair (with apparently an update on the soul material) and am shoe gooing the 2yr-old pair's outer heel soul to perhaps get some more out of them. Not a complaint for me. Takes two applications to build up enough material to get it flat again and a 24 hour cure time for each layer before reapplication or use. Back to the 2 yr old pair:Just as important, the Velcro is good quality, lasting for these two years without becoming insecure despite the contact patch being smaller than some other shoe brands I've tried. The uppers are not tired at all and still provide a good fit & support. Lastly, I must stress again that these shoes are REALLY comfortable. I used to get stone bruises occasionally when, doing more strenuous hiikes like overnight and same day in-and-outs on the Grand Canyon Bright Angel Trail and multi-day hikes in the Sangre de Cristo Mtns with backpacks wearing my Danner ZIGZAG TRAIL GTX6" boots with hard Vibram soles. But that was 20 years ago (I still have those boots & are still comfy for short hikes on rocky trails in the Superstition Mtns of Apache Junctiion AZ). I'm 74 now and my back, feet and joints have had enough of those long hikes. And, reviews say Danners are not as good as the era I bought them in, like so many things. I could go on about that subject a while... Nowadays, I must have shoes with nice compliant soles and use a gel insert. These particular Skechers fit the bill and fall into a price range that I don't mind replacing them every two years or so.

Good fit comfortable walking shoes
Great fit and comfortable for walking. I have a high arch and regular lace shoes are hard to keep lower part of laces tight. With the Velcro it is so easy to have a good tight fit.

Not my first choice.
These shoes are OK. They are well made. I was uncomfortable with the Velcro closure, fearing it could come undone. I returned them.

Diabetes shoes for people with lymphedema
The price wasn't too bad. It was a new experience for me. I always wore basketball shoes, high tops most of my childhood till late adult life. With me having medical issues lymphedema in my right leg and my Feet to swell. With medical badges and wraps on my leg and average sure would never fit. This gives me a plenty of room for the compressor. Wrappings to be applied to my feet and my legs The price is reasonable for mayday only lasts approximately 2 months comfortably. I am a very heavy person so the product may wear different from person to person with the swelling puts a little bit of damper on things versus the sides and that didn't help matters as I work in a wet environment so it does start letting go cuz of the water so they're not like boots. But like I said I work in a wet environment for a stadium when we clean. So take it in consideration when ordering for me they were most comfortable but I did add padding for my feet for comfort cuz I'm on my feet a lot. However when they started doing the compression management so they had to remove the paddings out of the shoes I did buy the oversized shoes so for me it was the 14 wide width. Gave me plenty of room they were easy to put on and off for the most part, but as my medical condition turned to the worst it made very hard for me to get the straps to fasten. I had to start using a hip kit to help me fasten the straps I have knee issues so it makes me hard to bend over to get through the straps all the time and trying to put the leg up on a bed is almost virtually impossible. When the legs are swelling you have to make the decision for yourself. I'm not going to be able to help you do anymore. What I mention above. Best of luck
