Perfect for installing our garden sun shade, and good value too.
I've held off of reviewing this product for a few months while I assessed it's performance through summer and autumn. We have an old garage that collapse years ago and I repurposed the area as a seating deck as the concrete slab was fine and two of the walls remained upright which acted as a good wind break. It also leant itself to a triangular sun shade very nicely. We have a cantilevered parasol which is great, but is a bit of a faff to get up and put down at the end of the day. I thought a sun shade would be better and I could leave it up through summer and autumn.I got the sunshade through Amazon, which I rated very highly. I needed to get some fixings for it though. I had to make sure the fixings were installed in the right location, and somewhere sturdy to take the loading of the shade being pushed by the wind that can fly through our garden. This fixing kit had everything I needed to get the sun shade erected, and has been perfectly solid all summer and autumn. The sail covered our L-shaped rattan garden sofa thing very nicely, and kept the sun off of my pasty skin and bald head well. It remained up all through summer and up to the second weekend of October (just gone) and I've taken it down now for winter as we're unlikely to be sitting outside now. It's survived a very months, including some pretty naff weather, and both the cover and the fixings would appear to be ready for next year when we come out of the other side of winter.

Decent Set of Canopy Fixings
I picked up this set to help hang some canopies in our conservatory. In the pack your get 4 x Mounts, 2 x Extendable hooks, 2 x Spring Hooks (Carabinier) and fixings. The only thing I will say about the fixing is that the screw included are not that long. However, I was able to mount two of the mounts to the wall without any issues. They look and feel well-made and secure enough to hold the 3m x 4m canopy we were putting up. I also thing the price, £12.69, is reasonable as well.I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.

Excellent kit
I could have done with this a couple of months ago! Having gotten a sun sail earlier in the year as a way of providing more of a sheltered area, I was using bits of string and all sorts. This is an excellent kit with 4 steel rings that can be drilled into a wall or screwed into wood. You then get some extendable hooks if you need to increase the distance between the fastening and hook, also allows for the tightening up of the sail as well. All water and weather proof so should last a real long time.Could also be used on tarpaulin, tents, anything you need to hold tight really.

Strong enough to take some wind
While not incredibly substantial, the hardware did well enough with occasional bursts of wind and rain, and did not rust over several weeks, while other metal items in the garden did.Perhaps for all year long usage I would go for something more heavy weight, but I do take the sail down in late autumn and when heavy winds are forecasted, least it gets damaged. The only thing I cannot comment on are the screws, because I used my own.For the current price under £13 I think they are a good deal.

Okay for light weight use
The set is okay for light items but I've seen much more heavy duty kits than this with much larger tensioners.Yes this does its job but beware what you intend to use this for. The fixing kit is also lightweight so you may want to invest in some Rawl anchors depending on the weight of your awning

Good small but strong fixings
These fixings seem pretty sturdy considering their size. I only used one of the fixings to just sure up one of the points of my sun shade sail. With 4 screws, the eyelet fitted very firmly to the wall, with no hint of movement. attaching the hook onto it was simple and now the whole sail seems much more secure to me. Doing pretty well in the moderate wind that's blowing up this evening. At around £12 for these, I think it represents decent value for a strong fixing.

Sturdy and strong
These are strong and well made fixings. The gauge of the metal is around 4mm to provide a tough secure fixing. The hook element has both left and right thread, meaning that when attached the hook will not come undone easily. The strong catch on the clips feels to have good tension, and closes without any gap, making attachment secure.Overall a strong and sturdy clasp that was a good price for the kit.

Bit on the small size? but dynamite comes in little packs?
Not as sturdy looking as I had hoped, the individual pieces are smaller than I thought they might be. But, I have pulled and tugged the fittings and they are standing up to my efforts to break them very well. I am still very sceptical about the 1" stainless screws supplied to fix the 'eyes' but I haven't been able to pull the out so I guess they are adequate, The carabiners are also surprisingly sturdy as are the tensioning pieces though I must recommend grease here. I was going for three stars, but I can't break 'em so I guess it will have to be Five stars then!JC
