Dent goalie
Made of a nice soft, sturdy material that magnetizes really well to the vehicle. I love having the added protection. Great product!

Zero star. Designing Deficiencies, poor qualification and awful customer service
This is the 1st time I leave a negative comment on Amazon. First of all, the product itself is rigid which easily scratch the vehicle exterior, it’s hard to attach on the door due to the extreme short cord. The rigid magnetic strips leaves marks on vehicle after you take it off and deteriorating within a month. After few weeks it is easily blowed off by wind under normal weather and scratches your vehicle and costs you over a thousand dollars to fix it. Last but not least, worst seller I’ve ever met on Amazon. When you are trying to negotiate with him for getting refund, he lies on everything. A seller on my blacklist.

Does what it is intended to do
I purchased this because after buying my brand new car , I was noticing little scratches on my driver’s side door. I have an assigned parking spot at my apartment complex and it was the car next to mine creating them. Our spots are narrow and I am always careful when opening my door, car next to me not so much. I dud not want to create an issue amongst neighbors so i bought these. I place it on when I park at home and remove it when I drive. I don’t mind this if it keeps my new car from getting mire scratches, not only does it send a clear message it protects my car. In all fairness our parking spots are narrow and the other car owner is a large woman, I do not think she scratches my car intentionally i just think her door rests n mine and when she gets out the door moves as the weight disperses. These are easy to use and do the job intended. Excellent purchase.

Well made overall -- use caution to avoid scratches.
We have a smallish two-car garage in which we nevertheless keep both cars, along with the other usual garage items. It's a tight fit, even for two relatively compact Volkswagens. So intra-car door dings are a worry, and we've had some incidents. So for the new car, I tried a few things. First, I got this small Magnetic door guard - 1 each here on Amazon. It actually works great, although it covers a small area. It's very small and light. I wanted something bigger, and found these DentGoalie guards, which are a good deal for the price (although I didn't want two as I'm only using them in the garage). They are sturdy and surely work to protect a long section of the side of the car. They are designed well enough in terms of using soft plastic materials on the side facing the door. But I'm pretty sure I put my very first scratch in a new car using them. The trick is you don't want them to move at all once they're on the car. Even though the back-facing materials are plastic, there is so much in contact with the car that a tiny piece of grit or what have you is bound to be in there. And they're a bit heavy. So even a little movement can trap some small grain of sand against the car and scratch. I was careful and never dragged the DentGoalie around, but I think just a small touch to make an adjustment was enough. Tiny scratch, and it doesn't ruin the product for me, but I've found that in the garage, I can use the smaller bumper and just carefully align it with where my wife's door will open. It's so small and light (and easy to pull straight off for an adjustment) that I find it much less likely to scratch. Still a good product, but take care with these or any large, heavy-ish door guards like these.

Excellent product - Just follow adhesion and removal direction's
Covers a large area and is perfect for Mustang. We park two cars in a smallish 60s garage (weren’t cars bigger then??) and these work perfectly. Use caution applying and removing to avoid scratches. And always put the security cord through the door hanging in the cabin where you will notice it if installed on the passenger side. Driving off with the protector in place may produce disappointing results. Very happy with the product, just use common sense!

Magnetic back degrades in hot weather, sticking to car
These work great for a while. After about 2 months exposure to hot summer weather, the adhesive and magnetic back begin to degrade. The magnetic back begins to disintegrate and adhere to your car. You have to rip it off and pick off the bits of magnet sticking to your car. --Edit:-- Gave up on using this a while ago, but came up with alternate solution for hot weather. It looks pretty dumb, but a pool noodle held on with two cat collars looped around the car door handles accomplishes pretty much the same thing for <$10.

Almost a year and no door dings
The width covers almost all door sizes my car comes up against. I’ve had it almost a year now and no door dings. Also the cable that tucks inside the door keeps would-be thieves from taking it. I ordered the longer door guard to cover more of the car (vs the shorter guard). Update: I’ve owned this for several years now and still no door dings. For new users: if you need to adjust this after placing it on the car, make sure to lift the dent-goalie off the car and adjust; otherwise you can scratch your paint.

Not convinced....
These were very expensive. I am not sure that they were worth $179.00. They add time to your parking and departure. Please note that each magnet can scratch your "dirty" car when placed on a door that may have sand or dirt on it, even if you are careful! I live in Arizona where we have lots of sand storms. I have noticed little scratches where the magnets sit. In addition to this, they are very time intensive. Once you shut the cable in the door, you need to readjust the magnet. The pieces are long and lanky. The 2 magnets when folded, take up the entire trunk of my car. I do not like the logo on the front panel, it is tacky. My apartment parking spots are so tight that I have been using these at night after I am in for the day, but they are way too time consuming for a run to the drug store. I am not sure that the time, the scratches, and the trunk space is worth it. My car is only a week old, so I will continue to use them until my first ding. I will say, that the magnets are strong and DO stay on the car, even in a 60 mph dust storm!
