So if you’re vacuuming every other day or even once a week wouldn’t you be vacuuming up the residue? So how can this be effective for 7 months?

Your vacuuming the dead bugs and eggs (dust etc) the product bonds with the material and penetrates (soaks in) with in a few minutes.

Can you spray directly on animals ?

No. This is not a spray for use ON animals.

What is the active ingredient(s)?

Not to be rude, but the answer is on the screen when you hover over the the picture. I'm not going to type all those scientific ingredients. It's not 'green' so if you don't want chemicals in your house, then it's not for you. It does work, very effective in eliminating fleas.
