Acquerello 7 Years Rice Tin, 17.6 Ounce

Having cooked through 2 5 lb bags of their 1 year aged stuff I've nailed down the technique for risotto.I made a simple saffron risotto. The texture is more uniformly al dente than their 1 year stuff and holds up better to cooking. Honestly I used so much saffron and Parmesan cheese I can't say if the flavor of the rice is any different but the texture is noticeably different.Is it worth the cost? I had a 25 dollar gift card laying around and thought why not, otherwise I would still continue to get their 1 year old stuff in the 5 lb bag.

this is the rice we use for risotto and paella...its all about the rice with these dishes.

Sorry, I can't tell the difference between this expensive version and the version that costs half as much. Had to try it, though.

After living in Bologna for 3 years i learned a great deal about rice . Carnaroli is the only rice to use but this brand was just ok not worth the money. You can get the same quality from rice at a specialty shop for less than half the price per lb

Ich habe diesen Reis als Geburtstagsgeschenk für einen Risottoliebhaber bestellt. Geruch und Geschmack ausserordentlich gut und ist eine Empfehlung für alle Risottofans!!!

Nicht nur unvergleichlich und auch wirklich spürbar besser im Geschmack als herkömmliche Risottoreissorten ist dieser auch noch entsprechend hochwertig und haptisch ansprechend verpackt.

Ich merke keinen großen unterschied beim reis.Schmeckt wie gewöhnlucher risotto reis.

Die Dose sieht sehr schön aus und habe ich nicht weggeworfen man kann ja auch etwas reingeben.Beim Reis hat mich das schöne weiss sehr fasziniert und die angenehme Konsistenz beim Kauen wie auch der gute Geschmack.Ich würde das Produkt daher empfehlen.

… und man will nie wieder einen anderen Risotto Reis! Ja, er ist teuer, aber er ist m. E. jeden Euro wert! der besondere nussige Geschmack, das phantastische „Al Dente Verhalten“ lassen jedes Risotto zu einem Erlebnis werden! ich gestehe, ich bin ein Fan!Aber Vorsicht! Nichts für Leute die glauben ein Risotto kocht sich in 20 Minuten selbst ;-)
