Not for use in the shower!
It gets moldy in 1 week. It is hard to clean. I had it the shower but threw it out by 3 weeks. Maybe if you used it outside of the shower it would be better.

And the Winner is...
I have purchased numerous soap dishes and soap savers as of late trying to find something that actually works a bit and most of them don't do much but make a mess and more work until this little gem came along. I was also surprised as to how well this soap saver does work! It does get a little moisture underneath the unit but surprisingly not much. It can be used on its own or put in a soap dish if desired. I for now am just using it on its own in hope moisture dissipates a bit faster. Actually works very well to keep your soap from getting mushy.

Weird little accessory that I love
I'm really getting into hand-crafted bars of soap but I REALLY hate that gummy, snotty feeling of wet soap sitting in a dish. My husband always makes fun of this because he thinks it looks like uncooked ramen but it DOES work and I love it! I cut mine to fit inside a decorative soap dish. It keeps my soap lasting longer and also prevents them from getting soggy and gross-feeling. Now I can stock up on my favorite handmade soaps from small businesses!

it didn't keep the soap dry like I hoped it might
I ended up tossing this out as it got full of soap, it didn't keep the soap dry like I hoped it might, and I couldn't get all the soap out of it by putting it under running water. I'm sure that part of the problem is with the users, as we only use bar soap & wash our hands a lot, and I wasn't about to rinse this & clean the soap dish out more than once a week. Better for us to just continue gunking up a traditional soap dish with bar soap.

Great for displaying artisan soaps on any surface!
I really love this more than I thought I would! I don't even put it on top of a soap dish. I make artisan soaps and like to display them on this for when guests come over. It looks minimalist and it is very easy to clean. I looked at wood soap dishes but I never was really sold on them because they're hard to keep clean and/or sanitary, but this soap lift is just perfect. Yeah, you could buy cheaper ones from China or you could go with these. I went with these and will order again. Great product!

Conserves bar soap!
I love these soap lifts! Discovered them on vacation at a bath boutique, so I'm happy to now order them online. You can use them directly on a shelf in the shower, counter next to the sink, or inside a pretty soap dish. Really conserves your soap by keeping it from sitting in water. They are trimmable, making it easier to fit in the area where you need them.

Very happy with my purchase
I am so pleased with this. I ordered one and then used it awhile before ordering a second one.I replaced our glass soap dishes with these as glass in the bathroom makes me a bit nervous plus the soap gunk always drips down and is unsightly. There are discrete and blend in to the counter top since they have no height and don't make a big statement. The lift absorbs the gunk and continues to look good in between cleanings. About once a week I run warm water through it and then prop up on its side to air dry over night. These work well and improve the overall look of my bathroom vanity.

These little noodlies really work ! :)
It works pretty well actually. I am surprised how well. I got a second one because my soap lasted so long.Definitely pricey for what it is (a pile of squiggly rubberish plastic melted noodlies lined on a conveyor belt and stamp cut) but made in the U.S.A. so what can I say. Still recovering the cost in savings of longer lasting soap. I am pretty sure the manufacturing process is mostly automated but at least it does not have that nasty chemical smell I am sure it would have if it was made overseas.
