I loved these as a kid in the 50's and 60's and was very happy to find them still around on Amazon. Though smaller than I remember they bring back memories to better days growing up and I love the tart & sour taste. Iconic Candy deserves props for keeping this great old fashioned candy available and being true to their original flavor. I'll be buying these as long as I can find them here.

My doctor recently told me I should use sour candy to stimulate a blocked salivary gland. After borrowing a brand from my grandchildren, I knew I needed to continue searching. I went back to my youth and searched for what I had used. To my surprise Regal Crown Sour Cherry popped up. The taste is the same and they still come individually wrapped! The only difference is they are smaller then I remember. Glad to report that follow up visits have noted that my gland has shown improvement.

I was very excited to see these for sale. I thought they were gone forever. This was my FAVORITE childhood candy. I ordered a box of 24 rolls because I was so excited. When I opened the box, I saw my first red flag - the packaging of each roll was not the iconic deep red color. My second red flag - when I opened the roll and looked at each piece, the wrappers were in black ink and not red. My countenance fell and knew it was not going to be the same - but I was still holding out a glimmer of hope. I unwrapped one and sniffed it.... just a waft of unfamiliarity. I put it in my mouth and started tearing up. IT WAS NOT MY BELOVED CHILDHOOD CANDY. The taste was not even close. I am now stuck with 23 3/4 rolls of blech tasting candy. Please, if you are like me and spent all your money on Regal Crown Cherry Sours when you were little, don't buy these. You will be sorely disappointed.

These are delicious and have plenty of that old time "sourness." These were my favorite candies for years and I am so glad they are back. On a scale of 1-10 of their old time sourness, I give them at least a 9.5 In my opinion, a lot of the people giving negative comments based on the lack of sourness are suffering from defective memories. In the past, for every one that was sour, there was another that had no sourness at all Whole rolls, frequently It was very hit or miss. The sour lemons always had, and still have, more sourness, to the point that (at least with the current version) you no longer even taste lemon, only sour. Same with the orange (not brought back yet as far as I know). These actually are not only sour but sour cherry. And I've had several rolls and they are consistent through and through. My favorite candy is back! I may sprinkle a few into the Halloween grab bag to give some youngsters a real treat. And that box and wrapping! glorious. A big thank you to whoever's idea this was.

They were sticky and melted. Poor storage I would guess. Tasted ok but messy.

Taste exactly the same as I remember picking up a roll of The Sour Cherry Suckers from the local newsstand Charlie’s taste exactly the same from when I was 9 years old and it brings back a bunch of good memories
