First this Frigidaire Bread machine is beautiful! Color is gorgeous. Second I waited 3 years to replace my original 20 year old Hamilton Beach I burnt up. Glad I got this one! The manual is really NOT scary as so many have stated. Yes it's metric but duh. Most measuring cups have ML and cups on them. Not hard to Google. Run it through a full bake session empty to get rid of new machine smell. Have had it 2 days and have made two beautiful loaves. One my Cottage Dill from my own recipe book years old. Today's was a Google Banana Walnut Chocolate Chip. Both highly praised by hubby neighbor and my cats. If your going to get a bread machine I highly recommend getting a good bread machine cook book. Many many recipes out there! Would definitely recommend this super quiet non bouncy reasonably priced machine! Edit to add the pan is great non stick. The loaves slide right out and the paddle is of the same material as pan so not a plastic one like my original. Great value.

The instruction book doesn’t tell you a lot on the different functions and stages the bread maker will go through and what to expect each one. But what really gets me is the instruction manual is written in grams. Breadmaking is an exacting science that doesn’t really allow room for error, even an ounce or two. Also the display is so minute I have to literally use a magnifying glass to see the settings, and have a hard time reading them. So far I’ve made a couple of loaves, but I think this is going to be a hit and miss operation with this machine . Please consider other brands and models that have a bigger display and I’ve written their manuals and American measures (if you live in the United States).

Be careful this isn't red and won't match other red appliances. Seems well made. The picture is red on the box the picture on Amazon is red the stripe on the box is red but the machine is maroon in color. Just made bread and it she to work fine. It is larger then other bread makers that I have owned. It won't be left on the counter because of the size so we will live with the color it will be in the closet when not used. But if it's a counter appliance it doesn't match the other 6 appliances that are actually red!!
