I recently picked up this 2-inch face clamp, and it's been a solid tool for my woodworking projects! The clamp is compact but powerful, making it perfect for holding small pieces securely while I work. The 2-inch opening is ideal for most of my projects, whether I’m assembling frames or working with thin boards. The clamp is easy to use—just adjust the screw for a tight grip, and the padded arms help prevent any damage to the material. It holds everything firmly in place without slipping, and the build quality feels sturdy. The ergonomic handle makes it comfortable to use, even for longer periods. For the price, this face clamp is a great value. It’s simple, reliable, and does exactly what I need it to do. The “Vise Grip” type clamps are a great concept, but some of the brands have inferior materials and construction. Milescraft is not the ultimate in quality, but the company does a good job of producing tools that are among the top consumer grade tools, which is why I own a variety of their tools and am pleased with all of them. This clamp is not the self-adjusting style, like the much more expensive self-adjusting Kreg model, but both of them do the same job with each of them having its own advantages and disadvantages. For me, the biggest disadvantage of the clamps that need to be adjusted to size with a turn screw is the regular need to use two hands when clamping different thicknesses. However, the clamping force on both models has to be adjusted with a turn screw, so in practice the self-adjustment is not as big a help as the manufacturers promote. For the large cost savings, I will gladly adjust the clamp a little more. I bought this version to use with a Jessem dowel jig, and it is much easier to use than a F-clamp when attaching the jig initially. Then I can use F-clamps if I need more stability for drilling the dowel holes or clamping other jigs or boards. I like to think of this clamp as much like a third hand as a final clamping tool.

Perfect clamps for small projects where you just need an extra sent of hands. It has great clamping force, just micro adjusting the knobs will yield a lot of pressure. I like that the entire clamp is small, this makes it easier to get into tighter spaces. I mainly used them to hold some brackets up for mounting drawer slides. It also helps with flat boards like joining pocket hole screws, it helps to keep everything flat. Great product.

Absolutely a great clamp. I’ve been hesitant to buy anything but the Kreg brand clamps for pocket holes. But this clamp is awesome. At about half the price of the Kreg I will be buying more. Not only are the pads larger but the release mechanism is much easier to use. Can be used with one hand easily. 5 solid stars!!!

The clamp works as it should, but was not new. The clamp fell out of the shipping bag, but its package was still inside, having obviously been opened previously, the clamp used, then stuck back in the ripped packaging and returned. Amazon sold this as a new item.

This clamp seems to be of very good quality. It's also very reasonably priced as compared to others I looked at (roughly the price of most 3" clamps). Sturdy, easy to use and good clamping pressure. Can't see a lot of room for improvement. Good job Milescraft!
