Didache: The Teaching of the Apostles

5 stars because it practically provided what I was looking for: insight into what the people of the first century Church spoke, thought, and taught.

Unfortunately, the Kindle version ended before the end of Chapter 16. I bought another version to receive the full text.

I enjoyed reading the Didache because I have heard about it so often. It wasn't nearly as comprehensive in theology as I thought it might be, however don't let that stop you from reading one of the earliest sources for Christian belief.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because other publishers provide alternative translations which would have been helpful had I seen them first. Nevertheless, this is worth every penny I spent.

Good repetitive information from the Bible. I thought it would be more pages.

Very good readAlthough short only 16 chaptersThe beginning, was looking for the first catechism of faith and this was one of the oldest ones.

This is an excellent little peep into the 1st century church. It’s fascinating to see how so little the Catholic church has changed and in some regards, we have become laxed. This should be mandatory for all new Christians to read, as it was in the early church.

Spiritually enriching, historically insightful, and generally interesting. I’d recommend to any Christian; especially those interested in early doctrine and practice.

I think more Christians should become interested in reading texts from the early church but this one isn't essential

This is a precis of the new testament teaching. May all of us try to conduct themselves this way. May God help us. The book highly recommendable
